Today’s Business: 2008-12-26
Looking backward from 2009-12-28.
04:00 PM:Â Â [Emmy]Â Â and I attended neighbor Brenda’s annual day-after-Christmas party, ate way too much food, and as a result, we each picked up a pound or two.Â
It’s fun going, though the only person we know well is Brenda. So, as Brenda was quite busy entertaining her guests, much of the time, [Emmy] and I sait by ourselves on the living room couch, playing with [Emmy]‘s new iPod. We bounced around between there, the kitchen, and the dining room with its large table, stacked full of various food and candy dishes, and eight to ten guests sitting all around it.
Her relatives are nice, and her husband has two or three attractive daughters (all married). Apparently though, one male guest felt the same about [Emmy], as he laid a loud and slobbery, slightly-too-long-to-be-purely-platonic kiss on  [Emmy]‘s  cheek, right before we departed. She wasn’t expecting it though she didn’t mind.
I don’t remember if we walked to or from there; we had a ride for one direction anyhow. This day was dark and dreary, but unusually balmy for this time of year.  No rain fell during our walk.
