First Day Abve 70 Degrees This Year

Saturday, March 7th, 2009

Wow. It’s a beautiful day today. My girlfriend and I just got back from an hour-long walk at the cemetary, and my hips, knees, and ankles are letting me know loud and clear that this was our first walk of the season. I love when the ground thaws and you get that distinctive aroma that promises that spring is not far away.

We’re enjoying a cup of green tea together now.

Earlier, I posted several pieces from my 1994 journals to the   Tom’s Love Quest   site. I’m so glad I kept some written records of what happened back then, and wish I’d done more journaling in high school and prior.

In early 1994, I’d just been jilted and much of my poetry was, of course, my laments of how my newest ex-lover could treat me so horribly. But now, some fifteen years later, I actually look upon the experience fondly. [Emeebee] taught me a lot, including how to detect and avoid similar women before I invest too much of myself in them. Honestly, I’m truly grateful for that lesson.

I also posted a piece from January, 2003, where I grapple with the question of when to tell a lady you want her. Do you tell her in the first minute, the first hour, or the first month of meeting her? Or, should you wait a year or more? Go check it out and see. :-)

Currently, the sites still have not yet been indexed by Google. I’ve submitted all the necessary site maps, resolved all the error 404 behavior problems, and corrected all URL errors. So hopefully Google’s spiders will soon visit my place here on the web. Once they do, more people will see my sites, and hopefully post to them. So Googlebot, hurry up and get here. I’m waiting for you.
