I mentioned earlier that I purchased a couple boxes of Truvia to see if it’s any better than the Now stevia liquid I currently use in my tea. I just tried it in a 13 Oz. cup of Lady Grey tea from Twinings. See my Tom’s Views –> Truvia Sweetener Review piece for for my observations.
I just got a notice from our natural gas company today saying that our bills will decrease by 16.7 percent. This will take effect in October, 2009. This is a relief because with these new gas heaters we just installed, our bills have been a bit higher than usual, although our total costs for the last two months of warmth was $558.59. Somewhat higher than the “average person’s” bill, by about twice actually. But Mom, [Emmy], and I like it cozy. It’s no fun to be working here at the computer when your hands feel like they belong in a morgue.
This decrease is subject to PUC review. Hopefully, they’ll be allowed to do it. Is there even a question? 
Rainy, dark, and gray today. Current temp is 56 degrees here on the back porch.
I went grocery shopping earlier today with sister Joann, and stocked up on anchovies, Wheat Chex, Wheat Thins, Cheerios, organic skim milk, blueberries, bananas, green tea, raisins, and I bought a pork roast that’s in the slow cooker right now. I’m already hungry for it, and it won’t be ready for another nine hours. 
I also picked up a couple boxes of Truvia sweetener. This is the first time I’ve seen this at Walmart. I haven’t tried it yet but I’m gearing up for a cup of tea in a few minutes and I’ll let you know how it is.
I’m glad we got the trip in today because [Emmy] is visiting next week, and I always like to be well-stocked whenever she comes.
