Shopping Today — Again

Mom and I took   [Emmy] out for her birthday. We went to Subway and each got a foot-long spicy Italian sub. Yum! I just finished eating mine and   [Emmy]   ate about three quarters of hers.

Then, since we were out anyway, we went to Walmart for the weekly shopping trip. This week, we got cat food, Cocoa Wheats, T-Shirts, cheese, milk, orange juice for Mom, pomegranate juice for our supper, tea, more Truvia sweetener, bananas, blue berries, and I bought Emmy an electric shaver and a dozen of yellow and pink roses. We put them in a vase and sat them in the bedroom on her bureau. She was tickled. I think on Sunday when the rest of the family dines here, we may have a cake for   [Emmy].

Caught Up On Y&R

[Emmy]   and I watched all four episodes of the Young and the Restless that I’d saved from earlier this week on the DVR. It looks like MacEnzie is back and that though Billy just got married to Cloe, Billy and Mac may get back together. Victor is creating yet another scheme to get at Jack. Cane is still trying to convince Lilly to support him in his quest to take full custody of Cloe and Billy’s newborn. Jill and Kay just learned that Jill is not Kay’s daughter, and so it appears that the five-year reprieve in their fighting is now over. They’re back at each other’s throats once again, though this was all instigated purely by Jill. I never cared for character Jill, even back in the 70s when she stole Philip from Kay. But I’m eager to see what happens between Billy and Mac, now that it’s known that they’re not cousins. Y&R fans will remember that they had to end their wedding a while back when they thought that Jill was Kay’s daughter, as this would make them cousins. Yep, Emmy and I love Y&R, and so we didn’t get to bed until 2:30 AM, after we’d watched all four saved episodes. More, please. More! We’re addicted.
