Another Warmest Day

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

The temperature here today rose to 87 degrees, making today the warmest day of 2009 so far. As per usual, I slept again through the entire morning. But this afternoon featured blue skies and more bright white sunshine; another pavilion day to be sure.

In fact, this was a little too hot to be down there. So I stayed up here and posted to a new mailing list I joined yesterday. The list is called Blind Chit Chat, and it has over 150 seemingly well-educated, real-world people, who are highly intelligent. So far, I’ve enjoyed reading their posts and offering some of my own. I’ll tell them of my blogs shortly.

Mom Was Good Today

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

Mom felt very good today. No problems to report. Her mood was excellent and she had lots of energy; not sleepy at all. It was really fun being with her this day and I was glad that I was.

87 Degrees Today

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

Where’d April go? Today felt more like mid-July.

Mostly sunny and dry all day. Low humidity.

Mom and I went to Cracker Barrel restaurant and had lunch. She had a ham dish which she decided once it arrived that she didn’t want. She’s having trouble eating meat these days. I had cat fish, turnip greens, cabbage, 5 corn muffins (I know, I’m a gluten) (But hey, no butter on them), broccoli and cheese soup, and beans.

Then we visited sister Joann and hung out on her porch until 8:30-ish this evening, when we came home. I showed Joann my diary web site so she can keep up-to-date on Mom’s health.

This was a low-key and pleasant day. This blast of warm weather will likely start everything to growing fast. Here come the grass. I can almost hear it growing now.

Mom’s Meds: 2009-04-26

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

I just filled three weeks worth of Mom’s medicines. I like to keep well ahead in the trays because I can order more well before the week in which she’s due to run out. She’ll need to get more of the following before the next tray filling:

Magnesium Oxide
Spironolact
Potassium
Atenolol

I’ll call these into her pharmacist later today.
