Did several post revisions.
Posted several comments in response to [Linda’s] comments in the Tom’s Love Quest blog.
Located the camp medical forms for my physical exam tomorrow.
Watched the Young and the Restless from Friday, and a bit of news on the DVR.
Wrote up the Month in Review post for May, 2009.
Listened to the Penguins and Red Wings game; the Penns lost again, 3 to 1. [Emmy] and I listened to the third period together on the Internet radio. But she was out with some new friends for the first two periods. So I listened to those two by myself.
Not bad. But I missed [Emmy's] phone company.
[Mentat], it’s been too long since we’ve talked. Where have you been? Give me a call when you have an hour or two.
Looks like the grass is going to need a cut this week before I head off to Philly, and it’s time once more to pay bills.

Initial Remarks
May, 2009 was a great month over all. I got more done on the blogs. My mission for the next few months is still to finish uploading my personal email to the blogs, and then to start transcribing my audio journals. The foot party on May 2nd was definitely the highlight of the month. See the Tom’s Love Quest blog for more details on that.
Accomplishments This Month
- Sent remaining prize check to raffle winners for the WPSBC Alumni Association.
- Posted all sent email from year 2005, through November 10th. This is taking longer than expected, due to some very long pieces written to [Mentat] throughout the summer and into the fall.
- Made Philly trip in early May, 2009 to the foot party. This was everything I hoped, and more.
- I met a remarkably beautiful woman there [Linda], whom I immediately fell in love with. While at this point, indications are that she does not feel the same, I am nonetheless grateful for the experience. It has strengthened my resolve to win the love quest by proving that the prize I’ve been seeking, does in fact exist. Remarkably beautiful women aren’t just fignemts of my imagination, because I’ve met them, in the flesh. So I have been inspired this month, to keep at it.
- Unfortunately, in light of the previous item, I had to ask [Emmy] to release me from our exclusive dating relationship. There are letters to her in the Tom’s Love Quest blog that detail the reasons. However, we are trying to keep the deep friendship going that we’ve spent the past six years building.
- Completed journaling about a few of the places I’ve lived. The ones finished so far are McKee Place, Arch St., and Mellon St in Pittsburgh. Currently working on year 1981 at Jackson St.
- Wrote seventeen posts for the Tom’s Love Quest blog this month.
- I’ve lost ten pounds this month. Current weight is 165 pounds.
- After nearly two years, the BA Lions Club board finished reviewing the first draft of the policy manual document I assembled for them back in 2007.
- Added ‘Important Concepts’ and ‘Important People’ link categories to the Tom’s Love Quest blog. Click here and here for more details.
- Replaced a faulty power supply in this, the primary writing computer.
- Reviewed the changes for the WordPress blogging software, version 2.8, that should be out sometime later this year.
- Cut the grass twice this month, and weed whacked once.
Planned Accomplishments Next Month
- Finish journaling about all the places I’ve lived.
- Attend the June, 2009 VIP foot party.
- Visit [Emmy].
- Lose ten more pounds.
- Get physical exam and submit all appropriate papers to camp in preps for the July vacation there.
- Apply all feedback to the BA Lions Club policy manual, and issue a second draft. Then, someone else in the club will have to take this over, as I must now devote full time to these blogs.
- Send the defective computer power supply back to Ultra for replacement.
Difficult Issues Still Ongoing
Since [Emmy] and I are no longer seeing each other exclusively, the problem of lacking eroticism in our relationship is now moot. I’m free now to seek women who excite me more. That problem still remains however. Fixing it will still not be easy, even with [Emmy] out of the picture. However, with the foot parties and other pursuits, at least I can explore other women now without a guilty conscience. Hopefully in the coming months, there will be good news to report as a result on this front.

Helped Mom with her yard work; I wheeled a couple loads of twigs, needles, and leaves down back to the compost pile.
Set up Mom’s decorative fountain. It’s working well.
The garden hose sprung a leak, and the leak was aimed right at the open bathroom window. I discovered the makings of a good flood. It took about five towels to get all the water up. But all is well again.
Added an “Important Concepts” category of links to the Tom’s Love Quest blog. Click here for more details.
Completed weekly site backups. For those details, click here.
Spent an hour or two revising the later posts in the Tom’s Love Quest blog.
[Emmy] listened to the Penguins Vs. the Red Wings hockey game tonight with me. Unfortunately, the Penguins lost this one. But tomorrow is another day, and with new days come new chances. Go Penns!
Food intake today was a banana, a cup of organic yogurt, a cup of spicy hot V8 juice, lots of green tea, and a multivitamin. I want the scale reading to look real good for the doctor at this coming Monday’s physical exam. If I’m good tomorrow, I’ll be off 16 pounds since the last visit in the fall. I’m hoping that with this reduced weight that he’ll agree to me getting off the cholesterol med, simvastatin. We’ll see.

Added a category of Important Concepts links to the Tom’s Love Quest blog, and put the following in it:
You’ll find these new links in the sidebar on the right side of the blog’s posts pages. These are areas in the broader category of love relationships, that have confounded me in my love quest, or that required extensive defining or discussion, so as to explain what precisely I’m questing for, and what I’m avoiding, and why. The links retrieve posts written about these concepts, and I offer them as convenient shortcuts so that readers can quickly learn what I’ve said on these topics.
More concepts will be added later, and will be mentioned in other posts here, in the Tom’s Diary blog, as completed.
Enjoy.

Shopped at Wal Mart and picked up repaired glasses. They replaced the entire frame for $25. Not bad.
Jojo and I swung by Dunkin’ Donuts and got a couple of coffees; for some reason, the coffee there tastes really good. I take mine decaf, with cream but no sugar.
Wrote two posts for the Tom’s Love Quest blog. Click here and here to see them.
Spent an hour or so revising posts.
Watched the news for about an hour.
Talked with [Emmy]. She’s feeling jolly because her insurance will indeed pay for her new prosthetics. This is great news because we weren’t sure how we’d pay for these, as they run into several thousands, and hers are about due for replacement. This put us both in great frames of mind, for sure.
This morning was cloudy and rainy. This afternoon was cloudy but not so rainy. The sun finally came out in the evening and at twilight, the skies were brilliant blue. Temps ran in the low to mid 70s.

Lions club board meeting tonight. We finished reviewing the first draft of my policy manual document. This process has taken nearly two years now, and I need a break. So I told them that I’d apply their feedback to this draft and issue another. Then, someone else will have to take over this project, as I must focus more on my blogs now.
Watched three episodes of Dr. Phil, and today’s showing of The Young and the Restless on the DVR.
Finished uploading my sent emails from October, 2005.
Uploaded sent emails through November 9th, 2005 to the blogs.

Uploaded sent emails through October 24, 2005.
Watched the news and The Young and the Restless on the DVR.
Arranged for blood work to be done tomorrow morning. This is to check cholesterol and triglycerides. Once these results come back, I’m scheduled for my yearly camp physical exam; to happen sometime next week.
Chatted with [Emmy] tonight on the phone. She was feeling very happy.
Another rainy, gray day today, in the sixties.
No brainstorming today. My creative energies have leveled off a bit. So I’ll return to the more mundane task of uploading archived posts for a few days. It could be the dark weather too that’s choking the words. So until they flow easily again, I’ll keep busy reviewing older posts and editing them to improve conciseness and cogency. I have lots of ideas for new posts; but none of them seem particularly exciting at present. May’s muse has gone away for a spell. The high from the last VIP party is gone; I knew it would happen sooner or later. But man, I sure got some great mileage out of that high for the blogs while it lasted. It’s good that the next party is less than two weeks away. Perhaps it will recharge me for June’s writing.
