Today’s Business: 2009-05-01
09:10 AM: Left for Altoona train station; Mom drove me. We stopped at McDonald’s and I had a couple egg McMuffins.
09:50 AM: Boarded the train, heading north, then east.
10:27 AM: Created audio journal episode:  AJE-2009-05-01-10-15. Dreary, gray, and temperatures in the upper fifties this morning.Â
10:55 AM: Created audio journal episode:Â AJE-2009-05-01-10-30Â Â on the train.
02:50 PM: Arrived in Philadelphia, 30th street train station. Calling [Kar]. Soon, I’ll begin my trip up to her in the far north east of Philly.
04:45 PM: I’ve reached [Kar's} place on Old Lincoln Highway. I sat with her as she closed shop at her job for the day. Then, we went to her apartment. My room for tonight: the living room.Â
It was alright though, because she subscribes to Verizon FiOS, and she could receive a couple hundred television channels. Plus, she has very high speed Internet. Said that she pays around $240 per month for telephone, television, cell phone, and Internet. Not bad.Â
11:30 PM: We watched television all evening, and [Kar] gave me some leftover wings from her lunch that day. Pretty good.
11:45 PM: Headed to bed. Offered [Kar] a foot massage. But she said she was too tired. Darn. Oh well. Time will not allow me to poll her again tomorrow. So I guess I’ll have to do without, this time. At least, there’s the foot party tomorrow night. Good night.
