Today’s Business: 2009-05-13

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

I balanced Mom’s and my checkbooks.

I paid all Mom’s hospital, eye doctor, newspaper, and medical insurance bills. We really have too many bills to send out each month for Mom’s medical issues. So I’m arranging to have as many of them deducted directly from her checking account as possible, starting with her monthly medical insurance premiums.

Reimbursed our   WPSBC Alumni Association   raffle organizer $85.00 for ticket printing and postage costs.

Sent out all pending   WPSBC Alumni Association   memorial checks to the families of recently deceased members; four of them in this batch.

Spent an hour or two brainstorming the next   Tom’s Love Quest   blog post. It’s going to be a letter to [Linda], thanking her for the lasting lift she put in my shoe at the party.  Then, I wrote and posted that article.  See it here

Mom’s best friend [Kaii] just learned that she has cancer. No details yet on the affected area or the prognosis.  But I’ll mention them as they become known.

Listened to the Penguins hockey game this evening with [Emmy] on the Internet. The Penns won! So they now go to the next playoff round.

Posted several times to a couple mail lists, to flex my writing muscles.

Ordered a Flyers hockey puck for [Jack], for his birthday.

Watched today’s episode of The Young and the Restless on the DVR.

I just published a new post to a woman I still like lots. It thanks her for the lift in my shoe I’ve felt since returning from Philly, which is due to the wonderful time I had with her while there. Click   here    to see it. Enjoy.

Weight Loss Progress: 2009-05-13

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

Today, I’ve reached my lowest weight since beginning the current weight loss campaign: The scale said 171.5 pounds. Off another half-pound. The goal weight is 130.0 pounds.

Progress continues to be great this week. I’m still holding my calorie intake below 1000 per day, and eating one or at most two meals daily.
