Today’s Business: 2009-05-14

Posted several messages to a favorite mailing list, talking about my views on the importance of physical attraction. Initially, my thoughts were met with much disagreement and contempt. But after a few exchanges and the intervention of one very smart female contributor, people started understanding me better.

Watched The Young and the Restless from the DVR.

Watched the news for about a half hour this afternoon.

Talked with [Emmy] for an hour. She wasn’t feeling very well today. But hopefully she’ll be better tomorrow.

Uploaded my personal emails from August, 2005 to the blogs. This took much of the workday, as there was much more text this month than in most of the others done so far. Plus, it required a fair amount of editing to make it look nice and readable.

We tested a new conference line service; myself along with a few other WPSBC Alumni Association members. It worked well and sounded great, and since it’s free, it will save us approximately $70 each time we do a board meeting, which is three times per year. We decided tonight to adopt this line as our new, official teleconferencing service.

I lost another half-pound today. I had two small bowls of Mom’s chicken salad. It’s pretty tasty and therefore, hard to resist. So I’ll want to avoid it where possible. Fortunately, there isn’t much left. I hope Mom will eat the rest tomorrow.

It rained out this evening and was cloudy much of the day, with the temperature hovering at around 70 degrees.

Fixed numerous spelling errors and typos that [Emmy] discovered in the blogs.

In short, today was a ho-hum day.
