Weekly blog backups done.
Debated for an hour with [Mentat] about how lovable you can know a new love to be, based on love at first sight (LAFS) impressions. He seems to argue that due to the rapidly-forming nature of LAFS, that it is thus an uninformed love, and so this seriously limits its potential depth as well as its durability. He largely dismissed LAFS as a form of real love at all; calling it mere lust or infatuation.
I on the other hand, argued that it’s probably the most informed love of all; especially if the person who experiences it knows his needs very well and is adept at quickly recognizing that a new lover can indeed meet those needs. Click here and here for arguments that suggest that LAFS can quickly lead to the most meaningful as well as enduring relationships.
Anyway, [Mentat] says he might comment in the  Tom’s Love Quest  blog on this eventually. So I look forward to debating further over there. I’d better read a few more books on the subject however, because [Mentat] is quite the knowledgeable and thus, formidable debater.Â
Cooked a beef pot roast for [Mentat] and [Emmy] in the crock pot. Took approximately five hours, with the cooker set on high. Threw in some onions, carrots, and garlic salt. Yum. However, both guests wished I’d included potatoes as well. We’ll do that next time.
Watched the first Wonder Woman movie, a couple episodes of SHAZAM, and the first couple episodes of Lost in Space.
In short: A very lazy but sunny Sunday.
