[Jack] and I enjoyed our last bowl of Lucky Charms together. We said goodbye and I headed for the bus stop.

There, I called [Mentat] to make sure he still planned on meeting me at Tyrone. He was feeling a bit under the weather but thought he’d be okay to join my family at the DelGrosso Park fireworks.

Took the 38 bus from [Jack's] place to the 30th street Philadelphia train station.  Arrived there with nearly two hours to spare.  So I spent the time on the telephone, social networking and  chatting.

The train left on time at 12:42 PM.  I listened to the iPod up to Harrisburg, had a couple garden burgers from the cafe’ car, then napped the rest of the way.

Met [Mentat] at the Tyrone train stop and Mom came shortly after that to pick up the two of us.  From there, we headed home, where we hung out until around 8:30 PM, when we headed for DelGrosso’s Amusement Park to see the annual Summer Thunder fireworks display.  [Mentat] and I enjoyed milk shakes and talked until the display began at 10:30.

I dialed into the social networking site I’ve been frequenting for the past month plus on my cell phone and narrated a play-by-play account of the display, including the grand finale.  That was fun and the people there seemed to like my descriptions of the different rockets, colors, booms, and smell of the explosives.

After the display ended, we spent nearly two hours getting home; the traffic was horrific.  I always say I’m never going again when stuck in that traffic.  But every year, I end up doing just that.  I guess I’m a sucker for great fireworks.  Wwe got home just after 1:00 AM.  Bed, here I come.
