Today’s Business: 2009-10-10

08:30 AM: Appears to be another gray and rainy day.  Thus, no roofing work this morning.

09:30 AM: Tom arrived with Jesse.  We moved the furniture around and repositioned the living room carpets and tables a bit for better wheelchair ease.

12:00 PM: Sister Mary Ann arrived not too long ago, and she brought Texas hot dogs for us all.  We did all Mom’s pending laundry including the bedding, and tweaked the furniture positions a bit more.  It looks great.  Mom should love her new sitting room.

03:30 PM: All house cleaning and rearranging is done.  Going up now to visit Mom and to take her some clean laundry.

05:53 PM: Back home from the visit to Mom.  See   here   for more details.

08:30 PM: Listened to the first period of the Penguins game with [Emmy] on Internet radio.  But I’m pooped, so we just hung up. After one, the Penguins were winning two to nothing.

08:40 PM: Did several loads of laundry.  There will still be some remaining to wash tomorrow.

The weather did clear up in the afternoon, but I was too tired to work on the   shed roof replacement project.  Will get to it tomorrow.

Mom’s Status: 2009-10-10

Went to visit here at around 4:00 PM.  They’ve moved her to yet another room: Rom 227.  This room is on the sunny side of the building at this time of day, and so was rather warm.

Sister Mary Ann checked her right foot and felt that it looked better.  Plus, Mom had no pain either.  We’re anxious for the next set of x-rays to be taken on October 29th, and are hopeful that they’ll show that healing is well underway.

She was napping when we arrived, but quickly got fully awake once she realized that she had family visitors.  A couple of her close friends had also stopped in between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, and the three of them had a great time together, Mom said.

We gave her some clean clothes and brought her others home for laundering.
