Today’s Business: 2009-10-12

07:20 AM: I’m up! Temperature right now outside is 39 degrees and the skies are a deep gray. We might get some rain therefore this morning which might interfere with    the shed roof replacement project.   But I’ll get as much done as possible before the drops fall.

08:10 AM: Fed the cats and had my usual cup of green tea for breakfast, sweetened with Now Stevia Glycerite. I’d certainly be heaver than I am, if I hadn’t discovered stevia back in the late 90s.  With stevia, you can make the tea as sweet as you like, and still get no calories, unlike sugar, honey, or agave nectar, which load it up with over 50 calories per cup.  Today, the brand is Bigelow green tea.

08:45 AM: Headed out to work on the   shed roof   now.

12:30 PM: Lunch break.

04:20 PM: Finished working on    replacing the shed roof   for today.

08:00 PM: Heard from sister Christine.  Looks like their furnace broke down — it developed a big hole in the back and allowed some of the exhaust to get inside the house.  Rich is attempting to fix it temporarily until they can by a new one in the spring.

On Mom: No word today about when she might be coming home, and we couldn’t talk with her tonight because a friend of hers was there visiting her.  Hopefully, we’ll find out more tomorrow.

08:05 PM: Watched The Young and the Restless and Dr. Phil.

No progress on the   Wheelchair Ramp Project   today.

08:15 PM: Listening to some of the Penguins hockey game with [Emmy].

09:30 PM: Well, I couldn’t make it to the end of the Penguins game; by the time the second period ended, I was so sleepy that I could barely stay awake even though the Pens were winning 4 to 1.

Mostly cloudy today, although the rain never came.  The temperature got into the low 50s; a bit cool for roofing work because the shingles don’t bend too easily without cracking, but manageable however.  Two or three more good days like this and the shed roof should be finished.

09:35 PM: I’m going to bed.  *yawn*
