Today’s Business: 2009-10-20

06:45 AM: I’m up, and just put the beef roast bought on Sunday’s   shopping trip   in the crock pot for supper this evening.  The vegetables looked a little old and I had to discard two of the five potatoes in it because of them being so soft and wrinkled.  But the rest of it looked fine and its expiration date has not passed yet.  The meat part looks okay too. So I think it’s alright to eat.  If I stop writing here after tonight however, you’ll know the reason why.

07:40 AM: Sister Mary Ann is on her way; she’s coming to take Mom to her eye appointment this morning.

11:00 AM: Ate brunch at Perkins.

12:30 PM: Resumed work on the   Shed Roof Replacement Project.

04:30 PM: Finished working outside for today.

05:15 PM: Watched today’s episode of  The Young and the Restless.

06:15 PM: Just woke up from a nap.  Thanks.  I really needed that.  Not to worry though.  I’ll still sleep well tonight; today’s activities made me so tired that an hour long nap didn’t completely erase my tiredness.

06:30 PM: Just ate supper.  The beef roast turned out very well-cooked and soupy.  But the flavor was still great; if not the texture.

10:15 PM: Talked with [Emmy].  We listened to the third period of the Penguins hockey game with the St. Louis Blues.  The Pens won, 5 to 1.

10:20 PM: Another great day to be outside.  Mostly sunny with temperatures reaching the upper 60s.  Tomorrow, we might even see 70 degrees, and I’ll be taking advantage of Indian summer this week; all that remains to complete is the   Shed Roof Replacement Project   and the   Gutter Cleaning Project.

10:30 PM: Okay, all jobs done for today, so I’m off to bed.  Good night.

Tom
