Promo Only Music Subscriptions

10:55 AM: Renewed my Promo Only music subscriptions for 2010.

I’m also trying out their new Audio DFF weekly delivery format.  If there’s a lot of   overlap   between this and the mainstream, country, and urban radio series that I currently get, I’ll probably drop those series and keep DFF.  Unfortunately, the agent couldnt’ tell me specifically how much overlap there might be (by overlap, I’m referring to particular songs that appear on more than one series, or appear multiple times within the same series.  When this happens, it means that I’m paying for a recurring song more than once as well, which, for obvious reasons, I wish not to do.  :-)

The DFF subscription costs $45 per month.  Plus, because I’m one of the first audio DFF subscribers, I get the Mainstream Radio monthly series for $10 per month (which is a discount of $2.50 per month off the price I had been paying in previous years).  Then, I’m paying for the three other subscriptions (country, urban, and modern rock) at $12.50 per month each.  Thus, my total monthly music subscription fees are $45 (audio DFF) plus $10 (Mainstream Radio) plus $12.50 X 3 (Modern Rock, Urban, and Country), which equals $92.50 per month.  I’m hopeful that once I get a feel for audio DFF, that I’ll find that I can get rid of the Mainstream and Country radio series, and thus, save some money.  But time will tell.
