Today’s Business: 2009-11-04
Wednesday, November 4th, 200908:00 AM: I’m up. Looks like another sunny day today after a near-full moon last night. I’m doing my morning chores now, which include cat duty, giving Mom her meds, showering, gathering up any garbage or dirty dishes, and so on.
09:20 AM: Worked the Ongoing Power Outages issue.
01:20 PM: Worked the Christmas lighting, 2009 project.
04:00 PM: Watched today’s episode of The Young and the Restless.
05:00 PM: Sister Diane stopped by. She brought along a portable ramp that she’d borrowed from a client to show us. It was made entirely of metal and you could fold it up. It comes in two folded pieces, each one with a set of carrying handles, that you unfold and hinge together. It looks like a useful device for Mom to take to places that do not provide a ramp to get in and out. But unfortunately, it’s not long enough for us to use here; we have too many steps. This ramp is designed for three steps. But we have four leading up to the main porch. But that was thoughtful of Diane to demonstrate it for us.
Then, almost immediately after Diane left, sister Christine showed up. We sat with her for twenty minutes or so. All this company is nice. I like it.
05:30 PM: Nap time.
06:45 PM: Mom’s friend Debbie came for her weekly visit. She helps us clean house, takes me to the store, and so on.
08:00 PM: Debbie took me to Sheetz to get some diet Pepsi and a half-gallon of milk for Mom.
09:30 PM: Worked the Christmas lighting, 2009 project some more.
10:45 PM: Talked with [Emmy].
11:15 PM: My web hosting provider is having a 30% off domain sale this month. So I took advantage and renewed the Tom’s Love Quest blog domain for five more years. Hopefully by then, this blog will be paying for itself, and paying me as well.
11:30 PM: Fiddled around in the basement, gathering all the LED Christmas lights together for the Christmas lighting, 2009 project. But now, I’m very tired so I’m going to bed. Catch you here again tomorrow, and by all means, take care.
