Duplicate Title Tags

10:00 AM: While perusing the stats pages Google provides for my blogs, one suggestion they made was to eliminate duplicate titles in posts.  They provided a list of the most-duplicated titles, which is very convenient, and which for my blogs, was rather large.  So in the coming days, I’ll be adding words and dates to the repeated titles they found, and hopefully, this will get Google and other search engines to index a higher percentage of my documents.  If that happens, then more of my stuff will show up in peoples’ search results, which is, after all, what I’m after.

    10:02 AM: Reviewing the site map file for this blog, I see that while most of the duplicates initially discovered have been fixed, there are still numerous others to consider. I’ll get to those presently. The good news that the list of duplicates from Google is much smaller today. So headway is being made toward having all unique post titles.

    05:25 PM: Still plowing through all the posts in the Tom’s Diary blog. The most popular duplicate titles found so far are:
    * Dear Lynn
    * Tid Bits
    * Updating Lynn

    Apparently, this Lynn person and I had something very special some ten years ago. :-)

    Anyway, I’m almost through Tom’s Diary. Then I’ll begin work on the Tom’s Love Quest blog.
