So, let’s get started.

08:10 AM: I’m up. 09:45 AM: Sister Mary Ann just arrived to help Mom decorate the interior of the house for Christmas.

10:05 AM: Worked the Duplicate Title Tags issue for this, the Tom’s Diary blog. See today’s comments in that post here for more details.

10:20 AM: Just heard from [Emmy]. She’ll be joining us for the Christmas holiday on 2009-12-13. That will be great.

11:34 AM: The WPSBC Alumni Association treasurers report for the next board meeting on Wednesday, is ready.

01:10 PM: Paid all five pending bills, both Mom’s and mine.

01:15 PM: Checked all medicine and supplies inventories. We’re good for another week.

03:10 PM: Worked the Duplicate Title Tags issue for the past couple hours. Now, I’m headed for a nap. See you back here in a while.

05:16 PM: I’m up again. Watched the 2009-1-04 and 2009-11-05 episodes of NBC’s Nightly News on the DVR.

06:40 PM: Worked the Duplicate Title Tags issue for the past hour plus. Now, I’m headed out to work the Christmas Lighting, 2009 project.

07:30 PM: Watched today’s episode of The Young and the Restless on the DVR.

08:30 PM: Just had several slices of white pizza from Brother’s. Pretty good. Pretty fattening, but pretty good. I justify this by swearing off of egg nog throughout this entire holiday season.

09:30 PM: Worked more of the Duplicate Title Tags issue for the past hour plus. Now, I’m calling [Emmy] for our nightly chat.

11:00 PM: Finished talking with [Emmy] a little while ago, and now I’m going back to work more on the Duplicate Title Tags issue.

12:15 AM: Removed many more duplicate titles, per the Duplicate Title Tags resolution effort. However, there are still a significant number of duplicates left in the Tom’s Diary blog, and I’ve not even looked at the Tom’s Love Quest blog yet.

12:30 AM: Posted the list of revised posts in this blog today, here.

12:50 AM: I’m off to bed now. So have a great night and I’ll write you all back here again later. Take care.

Mom’s Status: 2009-12-07

Pending Appointments And Issues

Verify that her NPH insulin prescription has indeed been placed on file at our primary pharmacy; if not, work this issue until it has been.
Review Mom’s medical insurance open enrollment documentation for this year and, if needed, she must select a new health care plan. COMPLETE.
2009-12-11 @ 3:45 PM: Appointment with podiatrist.

08:56 AM: Blood sugar: 210. Covered with 14 units of log insulin.

09:00 AM: Dispensed Mom’s morning meds.

10:15 AM: Mom decided to keep her current medical insurance plan, due to the lack of coverage of medicine in the proposed plan, once she’d reach Medicare’s ”donut hole”.

10:30 AM: Still no insulin ordered at our primary pharmacy. Calling her doctor now… Talked to Pam at her PCP’s office. She’s FAXing the order to the pharmacy. I’ll check back with them late this afternoon to verify that they did indeed receive it.

12:45 PM: Blood sugar: 177. Covered with 12 units of log insulin.

01:00 PM: Dispensed Mom’s lunch-time meds.

06:30 PM: Blood sugar: 125.

06:35 PM: Dispensed Mom’s evening meds.

08:30 PM: Mom had three pieces of white pizza for supper. Covered this with 18 units of log insulin.

12:25 AM: Dispensed Mom’s bedtime meds.

12:30 AM: Blood sugar: 225. Covered this, and a midnight snack, with 16 units of log insulin.
