  • Dispensing Mom’s meds

  • Post the details of the   shopping trip   this past Wednesday night.

10:15 AM: I’m up.  

11:00 AM: [Emmy] reimbursed me in cash, the $42.39 that I spent to buy her a new cell phone during our   2009-12-18 shopping trip.

11:40 AM: Posted the details of the   2009-12-16 shopping trip. 

11:50 AM: Posted the details of the   2009-12-11 shopping trip.

12:50 PM: Just heard from [Jack].  He called to wish us a happy holiday season.  I ended up talking to him for nearly an hour.  :-)

02:45 PM: Just got back from applying for a property tax rebate for Mom in Tipton.  Unfortunately, she’s not eligible for any rebate this year.

05:45 PM: Watched today’s episode of   The Young and the Restless   on the DVR.  Now, it’s nap time.

07:00 PM: I’m back up once again.

09:00 PM: Worked the   DJ Gig: 2009-12-31   effort.  Just adding more music now, since all the software issues have either been resolved, or sufficient work-arounds have been implemented.

11:23 PM: Posted today’s list of post additions and revisions to this blog,  here. 

12:15 AM: We watched AC360 and a little bit of Larry King Live afterwards.  But now, we’re ready to hit the hay.  So I’ll catch you right back here later on.  Good night.

    Mom’s Status: 2009-12-22

    Pending Appointments And Issues

    1. Sometime this month (December), we must take Mom’s 2008 property tax paperwork to a lawyer in Tipton for examination.  She may be eligible for a significant tax rebate.  Mom must locate her drivers license before we can proceed with this.  COMPLETED.  No rebate ths year.
    2. Friday, 2010-01-15 @ 1:30 PM: Appointment with her PCP.
    3. Thursday, 2010-02-04 @ 11:30 AM: Appointment with orthopedist for a quarterly checkup on the progress of healing of her charcot foot.

    04:00 AM: She ate a sandwich as a middle-of-the-night snack, and covered with 10 units of log insulin.

    10:40 AM: Dispensed Mom’s morning meds.

    01:05 PM: Mom has still not taken her morning meds or read her sugar; I’ve reminded her twice now.

    01:03 PM: Blood sugar: 286.  Covered with 18 units of log insulin.

    02:40 PM: Resolved issue 1 above.  Neighbor Marlene and I just got back from the tax attorney’s office.  There, they ran the numbers and found that Mom is ineligible for a property tax rebate this year.

    03:10 PM: Dispensed Mom’s after-lunch meds.

    05:32 PM: Blood sugar: 184.  Covered with 10 units of log insulin.

    05:35 PM: Dispensed Mom’s evening meds.

    06:15 PM: Mom just left for trivia with a few of her friends.

    09:20 PM: Mom got home from trivia a few minutes ago.  Her friends helped her to the ramp, and then I wheeled her the rest of the way in.
