Mom’s Status: 2009-12-22

Pending Appointments And Issues

  1. Sometime this month (December), we must take Mom’s 2008 property tax paperwork to a lawyer in Tipton for examination.  She may be eligible for a significant tax rebate.  Mom must locate her drivers license before we can proceed with this.  COMPLETED.  No rebate ths year.
  2. Friday, 2010-01-15 @ 1:30 PM: Appointment with her PCP.
  3. Thursday, 2010-02-04 @ 11:30 AM: Appointment with orthopedist for a quarterly checkup on the progress of healing of her charcot foot.

04:00 AM: She ate a sandwich as a middle-of-the-night snack, and covered with 10 units of log insulin.

10:40 AM: Dispensed Mom’s morning meds.

01:05 PM: Mom has still not taken her morning meds or read her sugar; I’ve reminded her twice now.

01:03 PM: Blood sugar: 286.  Covered with 18 units of log insulin.

02:40 PM: Resolved issue 1 above.  Neighbor Marlene and I just got back from the tax attorney’s office.  There, they ran the numbers and found that Mom is ineligible for a property tax rebate this year.

03:10 PM: Dispensed Mom’s after-lunch meds.

05:32 PM: Blood sugar: 184.  Covered with 10 units of log insulin.

05:35 PM: Dispensed Mom’s evening meds.

06:15 PM: Mom just left for trivia with a few of her friends.

09:20 PM: Mom got home from trivia a few minutes ago.  Her friends helped her to the ramp, and then I wheeled her the rest of the way in.
