12:30 PM: Categorized approximately 20 more posts in this, the Tom’s Diary blog. There are now just 300 posts left to process.
01:00 PM: Heard form [Kar]. She called to wish us all a happy holiday season. She wasn’t too happy herself; lots of roommate problems of late. But she talked for around fifteen minutes, which is extraordinarily long for her. I enjoyed the call.
02:45 PM: The mail lady brought one item today, which was:
- Credit card statement (1) for Mom.
03:00 PM: Shoveled and swept the sidewalks and ramp, as a dusting of snow did fall overnight. Mom is having a holiday party tonight, and I didn’t want any of her friends slipping.
03:20 PM: Sister Christine just dropped off two trays of taco dip, one for each of Mom’s parties, tonight and tomorrow night.
04:15 PM: We cooked salmon outside on the George Foreman grill, and heated up some vegetable soup for a late lunch, and drank diet caffeine-free Pepsi; the beverage of choice for this meal. I braved the cold to grill the fish because we didn’t want a strong seafood odor in the house as an added, untended guest at Mom’s party tonight. Aren’t I just so considerate?
06:00 PM: The first guests have arrived for Mom’s mini-class-reunion holiday get-together. They’re having a cheese-based taco dip with hamburger in it, mini hot dogs wrapped in crescet roll dough and baked, crackers, chicken noodle soup, assorted chocolates, wine, and pop.
07:00 PM: [Emmy] has the Penguins on the Internet radio and is listening intently to that.
09:30 PM: All guests have now left us, and Mom is quite tired. But before they left, they helped clean up. Everything’s all put away and I’ll probably just wash the table cloths again tomorrow, for the next party tomorrow night.
09:40 PM: The Pens just lost to Buffalo, 4 to 3; at one point early in the game they were up, 3 to 0. But that lead evaporated, tortuously in the second and third periods. Near the end, the Penguins had several chances to score but just couldn’t do it. Humph. Looks like [Emmy] will be in a bad mood tonight again.
12:15 AM: Posted today’s list of added or revised documents to this, the Tom’s Diary blog. Click here to see that list.
12:35 AM: Worked the DJ Gig: 2009-12-31 project.
01:40 AM: Rewrote numerous tags in my music library. Some years back, I used Winamp’s auto-tag feature to tag many of my MP4 files, hoping to get the years of the songs I didn’t know without doing manual look ups. However, many of the years I got were incorrect, and some of the titles and groups were misspelled. So when I get bored, I fix these as I encounter them. Unfortunately, I needn’t look very far to find a tag with errors in it.
01:45 AM: Okay, and so ends another blog cast day. Take care everyone, and I’ll be back on here later on, with more tidbits of the saga of my life.
Until then, so long.
