Log

07:00 AM: I’m up.

07:55 AM: A few inches of snow fell overnight.  So I swept the ramp and sidewalks once, and then a second time as an additional half-inch fell in a half-hour.

08:10 AM: Went shopping with sister Jojo.

11:00 AM: I’m back home now from today’s   shopping trip.  Jojo is taking Mom to an emergency appointment at the eye doctor’s.  She woke up this morning, unable to see clearly out of one eye.   Hopefully, the reason is reversible.

12:00 PM: Posted the   Weight Loss: 2010   document.  This has a table, where I’ll keep track of all the weight I’ve lost (and gained) in 2010.

02:10 PM: Checked out the equipment I’m taking to the   DJ Gig: 2009-12-31   party tonight.  All works well including primary and redundent systems.

03:30 PM: Worked the   Household Organization: 2009   project, in which I deployed some of the totes purchased earlier today.

04:55 PM: Posted the list of added and / or revised posts done today,   here

05:05 PM: Our ride is coming in fifteen minutes to take us to the   DJ Gig: 2009-12-31   party at sister Christine’s.   So, I’ll be incommunicado for this evening and probably well into tomorrow as well.  Therefore, I’ll take this opportunity right now to wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year, and ask that you do be careful driving to and from your parties and celebrations.  Hopefully next year at this time, everyone who’s reading this today, will be healthy and reading the posts here.  Take care.

05:15 PM Nephew Garrett just arrived; he’s our driver for the evening.  See ya later.

01:25 AM: Just got home from the gig.  We had a fabulous time.  But I’m very tired, so I’ll sign off for now and provide more details later.  Happy new year everyone.  Catch you soon.

Here, in the table below, I’ll track my progress at losing weight in 2010. Entries will be provided anytime a weight gain or weight loss happens. Also, I’ll provide links in the date column below, to documents where I’ll joyfully explain what I did when a loss occurs, and sadly (or perhaps even angrily) justify why I ate as I did when I gain. :-)

I’ll update this periodically throughout the year as I streak toward my goal of 140 pounds and a BMI of near 20. Up until last year, I’d been recording my progress on my computer for my own edification. But perhaps letting you (my audience) follow along will help you in your fitness efforts, and give me some folks to be accountable to. As much as I hate accountability to anyone, sometimes, it can help achieve goals. So, be sure and hold my feet to the fire on this, and get on me when I screw up.

    Log

10:30 AM: Mom reports that she can’t see through one of her eyes.  When we get back from our   shopping trip,  sister Jojo is taking Mom to an emergency appointment at the eye doctor’s.

11:00 AM Blood sugar: 217.  Covered with 10 units of log insulin.

11:05 AM: Gave her the morning dose of 30 units of N insulin.

12:15 PM: Sister Jojo just called to say that Mom has hemorrhaging in her eye, and the blood is blocking her vision.  The doctor was optimistic however, becuase she got to him right away.  He says that a laser treatment today should cauterize the bleeding blood vessels in the back of her eye, and any blood still left in the vitreous humor will clear out in a few days, restoring her vision to normal.  Let’s just hope.

01:00 PM: Mom’s home now, and so, I dispensed her morning meds.

02:00 PM: Blood sugar: 187.  Covered with 11 units of log insulin.

    04:00 PM: Dispensed Mom’s lunch-time meds.

05:15 PM: Dispensed Mom’s evening meds.

05:20 PM: Blood sugar: 168.  Covered with 8 units of log insulin.

01:30 AM: Blood sugar: 268.  Covered with 18 units of log insulin.

01:35 AM: Dispensed Mom’s bedtime meds.
