Today’s Activities

  • Cat duty. DONE.
  • Dispense Mom’s meds.  DONE.
  • Shower. DONE.
  • Fill out and Return all requested forms to the financial planner.

08:00 AM: I’m up.  My weight is unchanged from yesterday; it’s still 178.5 pounds.

10:15 AM: Working the   Christmas Lighting, 2009   project.   Taking down more lights today, while it’s sunny and warmer.

01:50 PM: Heading up for a haircut.

03:00 PM: I’m back home, back at work on the   Christmas Lighting, 2009   project.

05:55 PM: Watched the following television shows from the DVR:

  • Today’s episode of   The Young and the Restless.
  • Today’s episode of   Dr. Phil,  where he discussed lying (telling falsehoods);  another great episode.

09:30 PM: Talked with [Emmy].  She got the SleepMates that I ordered for her the other day.  She has them set up and running, and hopefully, she’ll have good things to say about them tomorrow; that she was able to sleep less disturbed by the noises from upstairs.  Of course she’ll have to get used to them before having them on all the time will feel natural to her.  But I got used to running a fan to block out noises in my bedroom every night pretty quickly.  May she have a similarly painless experience.

11:35 PM: Worked on the upcoming   My First Pillow Kiss   post for the   Tom’s Love Quest   blog.  As big as it’s getting, it just might become the first full-length short story I’ve ever written. It’s already nearly 5,000 words, and I have quite a bit more to write besides; although I think I’d have to get it to 10,000 words before it would be long enough to be considered a   true   short story.  I don’t think I have   that   much more to say.  But who knows?  I never know until I’m actually writing, what will actually occur, to jot down.  So I’ll just keep working with it, and rather than leading, restraining, or forcing it, I’ll allow it to lead me, and we’ll see how many words it wants to have.

11:55 PM: Posted the list of changed or revised documents for this blog today,   here

11:57 PM: Okay, time to hit the sac.  Have a great night everyone, and I’ll see you back here soon.  Take care.

Tom

    • Mom’s feet have improved significantly from the Charcot bone problems.
    • She can begin walking again, sparingly, using a walker, and then a cane later.
    • She’ll need physical therapy to help gain her strength and retrain her legs.
    • But it appears that the worst of this ordeal is over.  Let’s hope.
    • She should continue wearing the boot on her right foot, for the foreseeable future.
    • She should obtain diabetic shoes to wear on the left foot, to minimize the risk of getting an ulcer or blister unknowingly.
