08:15 AM: I’m up.  My weight fell a half-pound this morning to 178.0 pounds; down from 178.5 pounds yesterday.  Nice!  However, I only have 15 days left to lose five more pounds.  So I should get down to 177.0 in the next day or two.  Therefore, it’s going to be another 800 calorie day today.

08:30 AM: Looks like a gray and dreary day is on tap for us.  It’s been raining a while now; everything is pretty soaked.  So, no more Christmas light removal today.  The   Christmas Lighting, 2009   project will have to wait for a more pleasant time.  :-)    I like to make sure that the lights are bone-dry before putting them into storage.

09:30 AM: Put a 2-pound pork roast with potatoes, carrots, celery, and onions in the crock pot.  It will be ready at around 5:00 PM. Already, I can’t wait ’til it’s ready.  :-)

12:25 PM: Dusted around the office and attempted to better organize my teas, Mom’s meds, and old hard drives.   Nice though, that I can talk to [Emmy] while working.  We did that, and I could hear her SleepMates in the background.  Their sound soothes and creates an air of safety for some reason.  Maybe they sound like home, or something.  I don’t know.

03:15 PM: The roast smells REALLY good, and as I’ve not yet eaten today, I’m having lots of trouble keeping away from the crock pot ’til it’s done.  It should cook for two hours more, as it yet appears a little pink.  I just added the accompanying seasoning packet, which makes it a bit salty, though the spices indeed spice up the aroma.  Plus, they make the meat worth dying for.  Well, not really, but you know what I mean.  :-)

05:30 PM: The pork roast was delicious!  :-)    I have about half of it left for supper tomorrow.  Now, it’s nap time.

06:30 PM: I’m back up again.  Ran two loads of laundry through the wash for Mom.  Yep.  She makes a lot of laundry.  :-)

07:10 PM: Posted the   Today’s Diet: 2010-01-17   piece.

09:45 PM: Watched the 2009-11-01, 2009-11-15, 2009-11-29, 2009-12-06, and 2009-12-13 episodes of CBS’s   60 Minutes   news magazine show from the DVR.

11:30 PM: Talked with  [Emmy].  Her neighbors were a bit noisy today, but she thinks that the SleepMates helped keep her calmer when reacting to the noise.

11:50 PM: Posted the list of added / revised documents    here,    for this, the  Tom’s Diary   blog.

11:55 PM: Okay, it’s time for bed.  So take it easy, take it hard, or take it any way you can get it.  But whatever you do, have fun, ’cause I’m heading for dreamland for the next eight or so hours, and even if I have no dreams, I’ll still have lots of fun, just sleeping.  Good night.

Yes, I do like the sleep mates a lot. I don’t hear my neighbor’s noisy furnature. I still hear him moving about but I believe that the sleep mates cover up the furnature sounds. I’m still not able to get a good night’s sleep. I hope that I can get used to the sleep mates sounds so that I can feel refreshed when I wake up. I love them a lot. They do sound very relaxing which might help with calming down my anxiety so that I can do the things I want to do without feeling flustered. I’m able to concentrate when reading my e-mail or just watching TV. The sleep mates remind me of an AC Unit which constantly runs but without any cold air coming out of it. I’ve only had the sleep mates for about three days so it’s still too soon for me to say if I’ll ever hear the furnature noise again but for right now, I love not hearing it. I do owe that to the sleep mates for covering his noise up.

Wonderful! I’m glad they’re helping. I’ll locate some relaxation CDs for you also. We can put them on your iPod or Victor Reader, and then you’ll be able to relax, anytime. :-)

Hey! That would be great. I need all the help that I can get when it comes to relaxing and calming down my nerves. Can’t wait to see what the relaxation CD’s sound like.
