Weight Loss: 2010-01
Even though I put on a couple pounds at the end of this month, I still lost a total of six pounds during January, 2010. I had hoped to lose ten. But I’m happy with what I’ve managed to loss so far.
Yes, I know where I went off-track. A couple times eating out over the past two weeks, along with consuming sugary candy twice (which I believe revved up my appetite and triggered my overeating of other foods), barred me from achieving this ten-pound-loss goal.
I hope to lose at least eight pounds in February. However I will not set a goal of ten pounds this time; that might be too aggressive. Why? Two reasons:
- Because I’ll probably spend a week at [Emmy]‘s during the next few weeks. I’ve found in past visits that strict dieting there can be difficult, as my visits resemble vacations; times in which I must “let my hair down” a little and overindulge some. So I’ll allow myself some extra calories in February to account for that. More calories means less weight loss.
- Since I must stop drinking the green tea due to the Caffeine Headaches I seem to get from it, I suspect that each additional lost pound will require more struggle from me as I fight with my hunger. We’ll see how it goes.
Indeed, we both love eating at the nearby Indian restaurants at least two or three times during my visits, with the garlic nan bread they serve along with the mango lassies that we enjoy so much. I don’t get any chances to enjoy such exotic and flavorful cuisine here at home. So I’d hate to totally restrict myself while out there. Thus, I’ll settle for an eight pound loss in February, and try for ten again in March.
