02:00 PM: Verified that the Web.com hosting account for this web site has indeed been terminated. Customer support says that they’ll issue no more charges, accordingly.

10:35 AM: Verified the new site with Google and submitted the site map for it to them.

03:25 PM: Requested that the old hosting account be terminated immediately. Awaiting a reply from the original hosting provider for this site.

06:30 AM: Received confirmation from my current hosting provider that the name server change I requested last night has been received and accepted by them.

08:00 AM: Accessing http://wpsbc-alumni.org/ now takes you to the new web site. Lookin’ good!

10:30 PM: Received confirmation from my hosting provider that this domain name transfer is complete.

10:40 PM: Verified that the old site is still accessible, though the domain name is no longer hosted by the old hosting provider.

10:45 PM: I’ve switched the name servers to which this domain points, to my hosting provider’s. This will effectively take down the old site once this change propagates throughout the Internet.

10:55 PM: Configured the wpsbc-alumni.org domain to point at the new WPSBC Alumni Association web site. It will take a day or two for the change to become worldwide.

12:55 PM: So far, I’ve paid my provider $6.95 for the domain name transfer. I’ve also requested that the domain be unlocked of the original provider. They’re doing that now, and issuing me authorization codes. Stand by.

01:15 PM: Authorization codes have been received and submitted to the new registrar. The transfer is underway.
