12:00 PM: Put the leaf blower and hedge trimmer back in the shed, and moved the four Christmas garland totes back down to the basement.

02:00 PM: Since we've moved everything up off of the cellar floor, we thought it'd be a good time to scrub the floor. So to that end, I began work in the front (west end) of the basement, moving everything off the tables and shelves to the middle and back (east) end of the cellar. I'll do this one little section at a time.

05:00 PM: Then, outside, I placed the ramp back at the front of the shed door. The rain had washed some dirt into the tracks where the ramp sat prior to the storm so that it would not fit properly until I shoveled out that extra dirt. I also moved the lawn tractor back inside the shed.

04:00 PM: The gail-force winds snapped off a larg limb from the tree in the south west corner of Mom's property, and is currently resting atop the cable wire that stretches from the pole to the side of the house. I'm getting my chain saw out now. Hopefully it will start up okay in this cold.

04:15 PM: The saw revved up just fine. I cut the limb into four sections and pulled each one down to the compost pile. However, we still have pooling water that surrounds the pile. So I left the limb near there, until the water completely recedes. Then I'll take it the rest of the way.
