Log

07:00 AM: I’m up. My weight did not change from yesterday.  It’s still 173.5 Lbs.    See   here   for a summary of the progress on this goal so far in 2010.

08:05 AM: Read more of    The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn    book overnight.

08:20 AM: Skimmed a hundred posts on the Portable Players email list.  I’m still nearly four weeks behind.  But I’ll get caught up one day.  :-)

11:15 AM: Resumed transcribing audio journal episode:  AJE-2010-02-05-15-52, about the day I purchased my   iPod Touch.

11:45 AM: Posted the   New 64 GB iPod Touch, Part Two   piece to this, the  Tom’s Diary   blog.

02:45 PM: Ate lunch at the little restaurant down the street at the intersection with Mom, a neighbor lady, and Mom’s long-time girlfriend.  A small amount of political discussion and debate occurred; instigated by Mom (I wish she wouldn’t do that).  But emotions remained calm.  It seems, at least in our crowd, that both republicans and democrats realize that neither side has anything close to a perfect solution to the current health care crises in the US.  Most republicans that I’ve discussed this with lately agree that America does not care enough for the sick and disabled, and that much more should be done.  However, they do not wish to break the bank to do it.  Yep, I can understand their motivation.  But still, if we do nothing, we’ll break the bank anyway it appears.

03:30 PM: Watched today’s episode of   The Young and the Restless   on the DVR.  They found a corps, burned beyond recognition in the basement of the club that exploded in yesterday’s episode.  Is it Adam?  Lauren appears to be held in the same location as Jenna.  Keven looked for Jenna there but did not find her.  Will these ladies be rescued before it’s too late?  Victor helped Heather escape the rubble of the blast, and he and Jack subsequently freed Kathryn and Jill, who, whenever these sorts of emergencies happen, always seem to get trapped together.

04:50 PM: Watched today’s episode of   Dr. Phil, also on the DVR.  This installment was titled   The Ultimate Fat Debate. I thought they expressed the issue of obesity pretty completely; while there is a choice component to being heavy (in that we choose what we eat), there are also other factors that invluence a person’s weight, that aren’t so easy to control; genetics, insomnia, hormonal imbalances in the body, and so on.

04:55 PM: Nap time.

06:00 PM: I’m back up again.

06:45 PM: Read more of    The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn    book.

08:25 PM: Posted the   Reading Catch Up   piece.

10:15 PM: Listened to the last two periods of the Penguins with [Emmy] on the phone.  They lost to the Capitals, again.  With the regular season wrapping up this week, the Penguins don’t have too many more chances to score big.  Hopefully, they have enough points to make the playoffs.

11:45 PM: Read more of    The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn    book.

11:50 PM: Well, here comes Mr. Sandman once more.  So I’m headed to the rack.  Enjoy your dreams, and I’ll see you back here again tomorrow.  Good night.

Tom
