08:00 AM: I’m up. Good morning!
08:03 AM: Read more of the Grapes Of Wrath book through the night. It’s getting really good. This is one of those difficult-to-put-down books.
08:05 AM: My weight did not change from yesterday. It’s still 173.5 Lbs. See here for a summary of the progress on this goal so far in 2010.
09:30 AM: Filled Mom’s med boxes to cover the next three weeks. We’re getting short on vitamins and potassium. So I’ll order more of each tomorrow.
10:45 AM: Completed the weekly system backups. I would have finished these last night. But the database backups took an exceedingly long time for some reason. So in the future, I may have to begin this process earlier in the day on Saturdays.
02:20 PM: Worked the Emailing Comment Authors project. Studied WordPress coding conventions mostly.
02:30 PM: Nap time. I often get sleepy when learning new software.
05:00 PM: I’m back up again, with a thunderstorm raging right overhead; skies gray with a bit of dark green, and the big rain drops and hale are striking the air conditioner here in the office, creating a loud, hissing sort of din. That’s how hard it’s falling.
07:00 PM: Worked the Emailing Comment Authors project. Experimented with retrieving a list of all comments associated with a particular blog post. I’ll need this list in order to email all comment authors when someone posts a new comment.
08:00 PM: Talked with [Emmy]. We chatted earlier tonight because she’s watching a CBS movie at 8:00, that will no doubt extend well into our usual nightly phone time.
09:00 PM: Watched yesterday’s and today’s episodes of NBC’s Nightly News on this brand new DVR (works great), and today’s episode of CBS’s Face The Nation news show.
11:00 PM: Watched today’s episodes of NBC’s Meet The Press and CBS’s 60 Minutes news shows on the DVR.
11:30 PM: Talked with [Emmy] on the phone a bit more.
12:00 AM: And now ends another gray and damp day. Bed time again. So, take care, and I’ll write more tomorrow. Good night.
