Log

06:50 AM: I’m up.

06:32 AM: Weight held steady since yesterday.  It’s still 176.5 Lbs.  See   here   for a summary of the progress on this goal so far in 2010.

08:00 AM: Took a stroll around the grounds, and found a broken tree limb, around fifteen feet long, snapped cleanly off the trunk; it looked a lot like someone cut it down with a chainsaw.  That’s how smooth the edge was.  But the break was jagged enough that I’m sure no one actually pruned it.  Just a coincidence that smooth break was.  I dragged the branch down to the compost pile.  It appears that the grass needs cut again.  I’ll do that later today, once the dew evaporates and the UV index goes down (this evening).

08:30 AM: Started this week’s pork roast to cooking.  It turned out to be a little older than I thought (pack date of April 15th), and some of the included vegetables had gone bad.  So I replaced them with some fresher carrots and celery.  The meat had no strange smells or discoloration.  So it should be fine.  If I’m still alive tomorrow, we’ll know that for sure.  :-)

09:35 AM: Continuing adding signature links and title-tagging posts.  Did around 50 of them.

10:00 AM: Tried out a keyword analyzer and generator on a couple of my web pages, but did not like the results.  It produced keywords that do not accurately reflect the page content.  So it looks like I’ll have to manually enter keywords for each URL.  Yuck!  But, it’s job security anyhow.  :-)

11:00 AM: Spent an hour reading about how useful (or not) it is to SEO, to  include robust keyword meta tags.  Many say it isn’t, and some say it is.  I think I’ll probably do it for my pages just to be safe.  Having them can only help page rank, or at worst not harm it, so practically all the posters I read said.

11:25 AM: Added site map links to the tops and bottoms of all my blog pages, per a tip I read this morning about SEO (search engine optimization).

11:53 AM: Upgraded the AddSense Integrator plugin to version 1.6.1, on all my blogs.

12:45 PM: Wrote 510 words into an upcoming   Tom’s Love Quest   post, about avoiding needless risks of rejection.

01:05 PM: Heard the rumble of thunder from the northwest skies, and it’s dark over there as well.  So perhaps I won’t cut the grass later.  :-)   I feel just like when the school teacher would occasionally tell us that we did not have to attend class after lunch.  Joy!

01:10 PM: In our ongoing efforts to rid our home of needless junk, I threw out an old crock pot.  It still worked, but the glass lid had splintered.  So we didn’t want to cook with it anymore.  Nor did we wish to order a new lid since crock pots are pretty cheap nowadays.  I also pitched several boxes of 3.5” floppy disks (from 1980s and 1990s computer days).  We should pitch a pound or two of stuff each day until all the junk is gone.  Of course when we try that, we bump into sentimental value.  Though the stuff, from a practical standpoint is quite useless, it nonetheless has deep meaning; making it difficult to throw it away.  Well, I’ll struggle through it, until the redding up job is done.

02:10 PM: Watched today’s episode of   The Young and the Restless   on the DVR.

02:40 PM: Continuing adding signature links and title-tagging posts.  Did around twenty more of them.  Now it’s nap time.

04:00 PM: I’m back up again.  The sun’s been out all afternoon and the grass appears dry enough to cut.  So I’ll do some of it at around 5:30 PM.

02:40 PM: Continuing adding signature links and title-tagging posts.  Did around thirty more.

07:30 PM: Worked the   Lawn Maintenance: 2010   project.

07:35 PM: Worked the   Gateway 3200S PC Redo: 2010  project.  The customer needs help reinstalling the Verizon security suite.  So we arranged for me to visit her this Thursday to take care of that.

07:40 PM: Called [Emmy].  We’re listening to the Pens play tonight.  So far, no score.

09:38 PM: The Pens just scored.  2 to 0 now, the Pens are winning.

09:40 PM: The Pens just won the game against Montreal, 2 to 0.

09:40 PM: Added a display of the total revised post count to the  Recent Revisions  page on all my blogs.

09:55 PM: Just hung up with [Emmy].

11:10 PM: Watched today’s installments of   NBC’s Nightly News,  and  the   Bully Moms  episode from  Dr. Phil.

11:40 PM: Read more of the   Happiness Now   book,

11:45 PM: I’m pretty tired from crawling around underneath the lawn tractor today.  So I think I’ll Facebook for a while and then hit the hay.  So good night, and I’ll see you tomorrow.
