08:30 AM: I’m up. Looks like yet another gray day out there.

08:35 AM: Read more of the      book overnight; fell asleep somewhere in chapter six, AGAIN!.  I wonder of osmosis (the learning of information from playing TVs and talking book players) really works.

09:00 AM: Facebooked a while and called [Emmy].  She’s awake and in good spirits this morning; surprising given that the Penguins lost last night.

11:00 AM: Posted the   Updating Dale: 2010-05-13  letter.

02:00 PM: Watched today’s episode of   The Young and the Restless   and last night’s episode of   NBC’s Nightly News   on the DVR.

04:00 PM: Nap time.

05:00 PM: I’m back up.

06:00 PM: Watched today’s episode of   Dr. Phil  on the DVR, that covered alienation of affection.

07:50 PM: Completed chapter five in the    Happiness Now   book.

09:10 PM: Worked the  Hard Drive Upgrades: 2010  project.  Ordered four 2 TB external hard drives.

10:40 PM: Talked to   [Emmy]   on the phone.

11:25 PM: Watched tonight’s episode of   NBC’s Nightly News   on the DVR.  Interesting piece they did about a couple of the women who host the Today show.  Well, today, they appeared without any makeup.  Amazing how different they looked.  In television, makeup indeed has a positive effect on appearance.  It dulls very shiny skin, hides blemishes and wrinkles, and provides more uniform skin tone.  But I do not support makeup’s use, because it gives our young the wrong ideas about how humans are supposed to look.  Plus, it misleads about what the user actually looks like, and may trick potential suitors into attraction, only to learn once the makeup comes off, that there was really no attraction at all.  Makeup might solve the immediate problem of looking one’s best on television.  But it creates much graver issues I believe.

11:30 PM: Now, I’m done for the day.  So good night, and I’ll chat at you some more tomorrow.
