Today’s Activities

  • Shower.  DONE.
  • Cat duty.  DONE.
  • Do all pending laundry.  DONE.

08:20 AM: I’m up. Fully sunny and crisp so far.  The skies are a highly intense blue, and the sun is already white (not orange or yellow), and it’s not even 9:00 yet.

09:00 AM: Blogged and Facebooked for a bit.  Low activity today on both; owing to the holiday weekend I suspect.

11:30 AM: Watched today’s episode of   NBC’s Meet The Press   news show.

11:45 AM: Laundry is underway.

12:00 PM: Worked the   Storm Cleanup: 2010-03-13   project.  Moved more stuff back to the basement, and to the shed, where it belongs.

03:45 PM: Cooked two t-bone steaks, green beans, and green peppers with onions for [Emmy's] send off meal.  She’s going home tomorrow.  Turned out well; although the steaks took over a half-hour to grill on the George Foreman.  I hope the thermostat is not failing in that device.  Ended up having to finish the meat in a skillet on the stove.  This did not affect the taste however.

04:00 PM: Sister Christine invited us over to her place this evening for hot dogs.  Well, we’ll definitely go there to visit; but no hot dogs, thanks.

05:00 Nap time.

06:10 PM I’m back up.

07:30 PM: Heading to sister Christine’s for hot dogs and pop.  Back later.

09:30 PM: We’re home again.  Nephew Garrett agreed to take [Emmy] to the train station tomorrow.

10:30 PM: Watched the 2010-05-17 episode of the   CBS Evening News   on the DVR, and today’s episode of   CBS’s Face The Nation   news show.

12:20 AM: We dozed while listening to Friday’s episode of   KDKA’s local news at 5:00 PM.  But now, I’m ready for bed, for real.  So sweet dreams, and see you again tomorrow.

Today’s Diet: 2010-05-30

I keep this food diary to stay aware of just how many calories I’m eating daily, with the hope that it decreases the likelihood that I’ll overeat.    It seems to work, so here we go with another day…

Today, I consumed the following items:

  • Herbal tea and diet caffeine-free Pepsi  throughout the day. 0 calories.
  • 10:30 AM: Cream cheese Jello.  400 calories.
  • 03:30 PM: T-bone steak, vegetables, and strawberries.  2000 calories.
  • 08:30 PM: 1 hot dog.  300 calories.
  • 10:00 PM: 1/2 cup raisins.  260 calories.
  • 10:00 PM: Almonds.  200 calories.

 

Total calories: 3160.
