Log
07:45 AM: I’m up.
10:00 AM: Hung out with [Emmy], talking about soap operas and how sad it is that so many of them are leaving the airwaves. The show As The World Turns is the next one to leave later this year we understand. But with the economy in the poor shape that it’s in, less people are working, and more are at home during the day. So perhaps the soaps will make a bit of a comeback with more people actually around to watch them. Hmmmm.
10:15 AM: I’m preparing breakfast; consisting today of eggs with fried peppers, onions, tomatoes, and mushroms. Perhaps I’ll throw in a bit of Parmesan cheese as well.
11:00 AM Breakfast was delicious and filling.
01:00 PM: Watched today’s episode of CBS’s Face The Nation news show, and the 2010-08-29 special edition episode of NBC’s Meet The Press news show, that covered the recovery of New Orleans, five years after Katrina.
03:30 PM: Just awoke from an afternoon nap to find sister Jojo downstairs, gathering up some sweaters to take to Mom. I didn’t accompany her to the nursing facility today because she had some other errands to run besides the visit, and I wasn’t yet fully awake after the nap.
03:35 PM: Unfortunately, our male cat got sick all over my comforter. Grrrrrr. Oh well, the bedding needed washed anyhow.
05:30 PM: Talked on the phone with camp buddy [TomK]. He’s doing fine. I missed seeing him at camp this year, as neither of us attended. But he’d looking into being a counselor for the children’s village next summer. However, he must wait until the camp hires a new camp director before he’ll know for sure whether he has the job. We talked of computers, other campers, Facebook, grumpy neighbors, and a slew of other subjects. Great hearing from him.
06:30 PM: Made supper, consisting of sloppy joes and peaches. Pretty good actually.
08:00 PM: Doing more laundry.
09:20 PM: Posted the Shopping Trip: 2010-07-22 piece.
10:50 PM: All laundry is done for the next week, all dishes washed and put away, and I finished vacuuming the first floor. Now, I’m headed to bed. Good night, and I’ll say more tomorrow. Take care.
