09:20 AM: I’m up.
11:15 AM: I’m cooking an apple wood smoke flavored pork roast in the crock pot for supper, along with fresh corn, an avocado, and mixed fruit for dessert. Mouth already watering, and super is still eight hours away.
But on the other hand, the anticipation of those wonderful flavors should really spice things up throughout the day today.
11:20 AM: Now, I’m paying bills and balancing checkbooks.
02:15 PM: I’ve finished balancing Mom’s accounts. Now, I’m off to work on mine.
03:05 PM: I’ve finished balancing all my accounts.
04:25 PM: Talked to the program director for the recently-held WPSBC Alumni Association 2010 convention, and she supplied me all the numbers I need to pay the school for boarding and gratuity costs for that fun-filled weekend. I’ve written out the checks and they’ll be sent tomorrow.
05:00 PM: Called the gas company to lock in a rate of $6.99 per unit of gas throughout the next year. I hope this will save us some money. It definitely will during the winter, when natural gas costs more than this. However, during the summer, it definitely will not, as each unit can fall to as low as $5.30. In the spring and fall months though, it’s hit or mis as to how much we’ll save (or lose). We’ll see.
05:45 PM: Watched the 2010-09-07 episode of Dr. Phil, titled For Better or Worse.
06:55 PM: Finished the seasoned pork roast dinner and cleaned everything up. Real good.
07:45 PM: Chatted with Mom a little bit on the phone. She’s feeling better today still. Nice.
10:00 PM: Watched CNN’s Rick’s List news show and CNN’s Larry King Live talk show from last night on the DVR. Then, they reran King’s interview with theorist and physicist Stephen Hawking; the fellow who says that God was not needed to create the universe. I saw this before but eagerly viewed it again. I agree with this. But even Hawking acknowledges that the lack of necessity of God as the creator does not disprove his existence. God may still be out there, even if we can fully explain the operations of coming into existence scientifically. All the science in the world cannot disprove God, though it can’t prove it either.
02:00 AM: I iPodded while redding up around the kitchen and sitting room. But my eyelids grow heavy as I write. So I’d best sign off for now and get some sleep. More tomorrow. So good night and take care.
