Log
10:20 AM: I’m up. Outside looks dreary, rainy, gray, and cold. The road out front glistens with water, and rain appears to have been falling for at least a few hours. We need it. But this probably explains why I slept so late today. Without bright sunshine and blue skies as a cue, I sleep late.
12:00 PM: Wrote 500 words to an upcoming post that contrasts the concepts of acceptance and equality.
04:10 PM: A lazy afternoon, watching Steelers football; their first official season game. They’ve just gone into overtime (OT).
05:15 PM: Watched The History Channel’s Hotel Ground Zero show, which gives several accounts of the 9/11 disaster in New York, as told by several guests who were staying at the Marriott hotel that stood almost right between the north and south towers of the World Trade Center.
06:00 PM: Changed the power supply in my main writing computer (the one I’m writing on now in fact), to troubleshoot a periodic blue-screen and mouse lockup problem that’s surfaced lately. Hopefully, the removal of the old supply took that trouble with it. We’ll see.
08:30 PM: Watched The History Channel’s 102 Minutes That Change America show, which displayed some raw footage from people in and around the 9/11 disaster in NYC. They periodically showed times on the screen that the various events were occuring. Good show.
08:45 PM: My computer still locks up; even with the new power supply. However, it appears to work fine as long as I’m not running IE. So I’ve disabled most of the non Microsoft add-ons to see if this improves system stability at all while I’m surfing the web.
09:50 PM: Watched tonight’s rerun episode of CBS’s 60 Minutes news show; though I skipped the Beyonce’ piece.
10:45 PM: Added the Mom’s Status: 2010-09-11 piece.
11:45 AM: iPodded a while and tinkered around with this computer. Now I’m getting messages about Windows being unable to read the hard drive. This could mean that my hard drive is going bad. I’ll look more into it tomorrow.
12:15 AM: Facebooked a while. Friend count: 298. Page fans: 66.
12:20 AM: I’m headed for bed now. Good night, and we’ll start a new work week in the morning. That’s good, I guess. Take care.
