- Shower. DONE.
- Cat duty. DONE.
- Make sure all of Mom’s borrowed books have been returned to the library. IN PROGRESS. All have been returned except one, and Mom says that this one is lost. I’ll follow up with the library to see how they wish to handle this.
- Do all pending laundry (1 load of whites). DONE.

08:30 AM: I’m up.
11:00 AM: [Emmy] called to say that she’s still receiving bills for her zombie DSL connection; thus the term “zombie.” We’d called about this last August 24th, and were assured that the account would be deactivated. But alas, it was not. So we spent the better part of an hour on the phone with Verizon account specialists and tech support personnel, and after some time on hold, we were again assured that this would be taken care of. They gave us another confirmation number but would not provide written confirmation. However, we do have a zero-balance bill that we received in September that should suffice if we ever must prove that this connection was in fact terminated. Since we’ve spent over two hours between this time and the call in August to correct this, we’ll probably just ignore future bills, and if they refer them to collection, we’ll dispute the charges. Hey, that’s all we can do unless we want to spend an hour every couplemonths on the phone with Verizon to get this straightened out. Well, we don’t have the time for that.
04:30 PM: Worked the Water Heater Replacement: 2010 project. Wrote a letter today.
05:30 PM: Watched yesterday’s and today’s episodes of The Young and the Restless on the DVR.
08:15 PM: Watched tonight’s episode of NBC’s Nightly News news show on the DVR.
08:25 PM: Now listening to tonight’s Penguins hockey game with [Emmy].
11:15 PM: The Pens won against the Nashville Predators, 3 to 2.
