07:50 AM: I’m up. Sister Jojo arrived to help get Mom ready for her day, and to take me out for our weekly shopping trip.
08:30 AM: We’re leaving for the shopping trip now. Back later.
11:50 AM: We’re back home again.
12:30 PM: moved our 26 Lb. turkey from freezer to refrigerator this afternoon. Man, this carcass is HARD! Hope it will fully soften by Thursday morning.
01:00 PM: Filed Mom’s new meds we just picked up from her pharmacy. However, some of her meds we could not afford. One pill, for a 90-day supply, cost well over $800. Then, then insulin she’s been taking since entering the nursing facility costs over $100 per vial, and since she’s reached the Medicare donut hole, her insurance carrier covered practically none of this. So we’re looking into cheaper alternatives.
02:00 PM: Our financial advisers arrived. They’re advising us on the best Medicare Advantage plans for us.
04:15 PM: Okay, the advisers have left, and I’m comfortable with our choices. Now, it’s nap time. Back later.
05:30 PM: I’m up again.
08:10 PM: Watched today’s episodes of The Young and the Restless, Dr. Phil, and NBC’s Nightly News on the DVR.
08:15 PM: Listening to the Penguins hockey game with [Emmy].
10:15 PM: The Penguins just defeated the Hurricanes, 5 to 4 in OT.
11:00 PM: Worked the DJ Gig: 2010-12-31 project. Added more music to the hits library.
11:45 PM: Finished up tonight’s conversation with [Emmy], and helped Mom to bed. Now, I’m going to bed myself. So good night. Man, I need a LONG sleep tonight. Take care.
