Log
08:00 AM: I’m up. Helped Mom to the bathroom and gave her her morning meds.
09:30 AM: Facebooked and got caught up on my blogging. Friend count: 328. Facebook page fan count: 78.
12:30 PM: Got Mom from her easy chair to her wheelchair. She wants to help prepare for tomorrow’s Thanksgiving meal this afternoon. We also had lunch.
01:55 PM: Worked the Christmas Lighting: 2010 project.
03:00 PM: Watched today’s episode of The Young and the Restless on the DVR.
05:00 PM: Sister Jojo is taking [Emmy] and me on today’s first shopping trip, for some last-minute supplies for our Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.
06:00 PM: While we were gone, sister Mary Ann and her family arrived to help with Thanksgiving dinner preparations.
06:15 PM: We’re back home. Sister Mary Ann brought some chicken enchiladas for our supper.
07:30 PM: Heading out for a second shopping trip today, to pick up a few things we discovered missing for tomorrow’s Thanksgiving celebration. Back later.
08:00 PM: We’re back hom again.
09:30 PM: We positioned the table and chairs, wiped them down, prepared the turkey to put into the roaster tomorrow morning, skinned the potatoes, and took a final survey on the food. It looks like we have everything we need for the meal. We’re serving ten tomorrow.
09:45 PM: Sister Jojo left for home.
10:00 PM: Sister Mary Ann and her family left for home. They’re coming back tomorrow at noon or so.
11:30 PM: Hung out with Mom and [Emmy], watching CNN’s AC 360 news show in Mom’s sitting room. [Emmy] sampled this alcohol-containing eggnog as we conversed. But she did not like it. I took a few sips as well, and got the same impression.
11:45 PM: Gave Mom her night meds. She’s going to remain in her easy chair and try to sleep there through the night.
11:50 PM: Heading to bed now. Happy Thanksgiving. More tomorrow. Good night.
03:00 AM: Mom called. She wants to go to her be.
03:20 AM: I helped Mom from her easy chair to her bed. Despite the cold outside, her room is quite warm, owing to the gas heater in the basement just beneath it. I’ve been running that one now for perhaps a week or two, and it really takes the chill out of Mom’s bedroom. Anyway, I’m going back to bed. Good night again.
