Log

10:30 AM: I’m up.

01:00 PM: Got Mom up and gave her her lunch time meds.

01:00 PM: Mom’s occupational therapist arrived.  This is his last visit; though he recommends that she continue with her physical therapy.

01:30 PM: Mom’s occupational therapist left.

01:35 PM: Sister Mary Ann called for a status update on Mom.  I chatted with her for perhaps fifteen minutes but had to go, as Mom’s physical therapist was knocking at the door.

01:35 PM: Mom’s physical therapist arrived.

02:20 PM: The physical therapist got Mom to stand at the sink twice, with my assistance this afternoon.  She’ll visit only two more times for this occurrence.  So we have to make sure that both Mom and myself understand the exercises Mom should perform every day to further improve her leg strength.  We’ll work on that next week.

02:30 PM: Mom’s physical therapist left, and I helped Mom get lunch.  She had some tomato soup and a glass of milk.

06:00 PM: Watched today’s episodes of   The Young and the Restless   and   Dr. Phil   on the DVR.

06:20 PM: Worked the   DJ Gig: 2010-12-31   project, adding more 2010 music to my digital library of recording throughout the afterno0n.

07:00 PM: We’re listening to the Penguins hockey game this evening on the Internet radio.  Tonight, they’re playing the Atlanta Thrashers.

09:00 PM: Helped Mom to the kitchen.  She’s having supper.

09:27 PM: The Pens have defeated the Thrashers, 3 to 2.

11:00 PM: Watched tonight’s episode of CNN’s   AC 360   news show.  Much time they devoted to the imminent repeal of the military’s  don’t-ask-don’t-tell  policy, which inherently discriminates against the LBGT community in that it denies them the right to be open about their sexual orientation without fear of expulsion from military service.

11:40 PM: We sat with Mom for the past half-hour plus, watching Animal Planet and talking.  Mom’s not in good spirits today and unfortunately, our company didn’t improve that.  Hopefully she’ll feel happier tomorrow.

11:45 PM: Helped Mom to bed and dispensed her night meds.

12:15 AM: Well, now that I’ve Facebooked and got caught up on the blogs here, I’m going to bed myself.  So take care, and there’ll be more said here tomorrow.  Good night.
