Log

10:15 AM: I’m up.  Today, as yesterday,  looks overcast but lacks the  occasional bursts of sunshine, with temperatures ranging in the low thirties this morning.  No rain or snow is falling at present.

11:25 AM: Posted the   Weekly Backups: 2010-12-04   piece.

12:00 PM: Got Mom up and at ‘em and dispensed her morning meds.  She seems much happier today.

01:45 PM: Grilled up some beef tenderloin steaks and fried vegetables for lunch.  Had Mom slice up the green peppers and onions.  She’s looking for ways to be useful and enjoyed making that contribution to the meal effort today; though all she wanted were three bites of steak and no vegetables.

02:00 PM: Cleaned up after that delicious meal.

03:30 PM: [Emmy]   and I took a nap; it was a bit too blustery to put Christmas lights up this afternoon and besides, I didn’t want to spend this time ([Emmy's]   last day here) outside working on lights.

04:05 PM: Pearl arrived to drive us to the train station.  Back later.

04:15 PM: Sister Jojo arrived to sit with Mom while I’m gone.

05:40 PM: I’m home.  Pearl could see [Emmy] on the train as it pulled out, and thought that she saw [Emmy] wipe away some tears.  I wiped some of my own away as well.

06:00 PM: Sister Jojo fixed Mom some leftover lasagna from yesterday, helped her get to and from her easy chair, and I dispensed Mom’s evening meds.

06:05 PM: Nap time.  Back later.

07:00 PM: I’m back up.

08:30 PM: Watched the 2010-11-21 episode of CBS’s   60 Minutes   news show on the DVR.

12:30 AM: Helped Mom to bed and dispensed her night meds.

02:00 AM: Watched the 2010-11-28 and 2010-12-05 episodes of NBC’s   Meet The Press   and CBS’s    60 Minutes    news shows on the DVR.

02:05 AM: Worked the   Christmas Lighting: 2010   project throughout the evening while playing the TV shows above on the DVR.  I just tested bulbs and inspected the light strings I received through eBay this past week.

02:15 AM: But I’m out of energy for today.  So I’m moving toward my bed and looking forward to a great sleep tonight.  Good night and take care.  See you again tomorrow.
