Shopping Trip: 2010-12-10
08:15 AM: Leaving now for the weekly shopping trip with sister Jojo.
08:20 AM: First, we stopped at Pearl’s to drop off a Christmas wreath that I wanted to give her, for all that she does for [Emmy] and me. We sat with her for perhaps twenty minutes and visited with her and her great grandson. I was glad that she was up and at ‘em when we arrived, as it was rather early.
08:45 We left Pearl then, bound for Wal Mart. It’s snowing!
10:30 AM: We stopped then at Wal Mart, where I purchased the following items:
- Outdoor extension cords (2 50-foot and 1 100-foot) for the Christmas Lighting: 2010 project.
- Cranberry juice (3 bottles).
- Peanut butter (1 small jar).
- Granola bars (2 packs).
- Pam cooking spray (1 can).
- 10” saute’ non stick skillet (1).
- Clorox toilet sanitizers (1 pack of 4).
- Diet caffeine-free Pepsi (6 liters).
- Great Value orange juice (1/2 gallon).
- 100-count miniature multi-colored Christmas lights for our indoor tree (10).
- Great Value freezer bags (60 of them in 2 boxes).
- Friskies wet cat food (24 cans).
- Apple sauce (4 packs).
Total Cost: $145.96
11:00 AM: Next, we hit Dunkin’ Donuts for the following items:
- 1 extra large decaffeinated coffee with half & half and hazelnut flavoring.

12:20 PM: Finally, we visited Bed Bath and Beyond so I could pick up some Christmas gifts for [Emmy]. I’ll conceal her items here but will mention the rest of what I purchased as follows:
- 1 lamp shade for Mom’s sitting room lamp. Her old shade is beginning to look pretty yellow.
- Non stick food turners (2). These should be easier on our non stick skillets than the ones we have at home now.
- Several undisclosed gifts for [Emmy].
