Log
11:00 AM: I’m now up.
12:00 PM: Heading up to Martins grocery store for a small bit of shopping. Back later.
01:10 PM: We’re back home, and sister Jojo is helping Mom get a bath.
01:15 PM: [Emmy] is listening to the Penguins hockey game this afternoon on my Sangean Internet radio.
02:30 PM: Mom’s hospice nurse arrived to give her a meal and help with personal matters.
04:30 PM: The hospice nurse just left.
05:00 PM: Aunt Joan just arrived. She brought some homemade fudge for us.
05:30 PM: Heading down to sister Christine’s to watch the first half of the Superbowl. Will come home for the second half, in order to relieve aunt Joan, who will be sitting with Mom during the first half of the game.
09:00 PM: We’re back home. Steelers not doing very well. The Packers easily dominated the first half.
11:00 PM: The Steelers have lost the Superbowl to the Packers, 31 to 25. Grrrrr. Oh well. At least the Steelers made it to the Superbowl; a real achievement.
11:30 PM: Unable to transfer Mom from her easy chair to the wheelchair. Her arms are too weak. So, under advice of the hospice nurse, we’ve arranged to have Mom transported via ambulance to a nearby hospital. At least there, she’ll be able to go to the bathroom, as they’ll provide the right level of assistance.
12:30 AM: Bed time. Today’s been quite hectic and so, I have much sleep to catch up on. Thus, good night, sweet dreams, and I’ll have more to write in less than twelve hours. Take care.
