07:25 PM: Watching today’s Dr. Phil episode: Secrets Gone Wrong on the DVR. It warned of graphic and sexual content. Segment #1: Spoiler: Teen girl gets pregnant and attempts to force a miscarriage by smoking. Delivers stillborn baby after 20 weeks, then buries the fetus in a box. Mother discovers picture of baby’s hand in her daughter’s hand on daughter’s cell phone, and recognizes the burial location from other pictures on daughter’s phone. Mother goes out to site and digs up the corpse. Daughter tagged by peers as murderer, receives threatening calls and instant messages on her cell phone. But 1st degree murder charge dropped due to the stillborn factor. The teen girl explains her side of this horrific story and Dr. Phil is concerned that she couldnt’ talk to her mother about the pregnancy at the start. Peers still think she’s a baby killer. The murder backlash still haunts the teen.
07:59 PM: Segment #2: The teen blamed the media coverage for the murder backlash. Suffered much guilt and flashbacks (as though she did kill baby though she did not). She missed her baby deeply. Visited the grave site and cried. Eventually, baby cremated, and the teen carries the ashes in a teddy bear. Revealed that she got pregnant on purpose, but father decided to skip out. Dr. Phil pointed out the teen’s numerous mistakes in how she handled this whole business, and he scolded the teen’s mother for not being more involved in her daughter’s life. Teen definitely troubled because she also stole her Mom’s car to flee the adult aftermath realities of pregnancy and child loss. Then, mother finds latter in the makeshift casket that the teen daughter had witten about or to her baby before burial.
08:30 PM: Segment #3: Dr. Phil diagnoses communication problems within this family. Mom and daughter blame each other for this. The teen has self esteem issues, is depressed, and suffering from elements of PTSD. She need break from her Mom. Her community has labeled this teen a baby killer and she has begun to label herself as they have. So, she needs a break from them as well. Her smoking unlikely caused the stillborn baby. Dr. PHil offered boarding school to the teen. Teen was tentative but seemed to sincerely appreciate his offer. Next family up is dealing with a seriously sex-addicted husband.
09:05 PM: Segment #4: Next guest Mark is an admitted sex addict. Fired from jobs for this, masturbates ten or more times per day, masturbated at work, may have touched an under-aged girl inappropriately, follows attractive women around in his car to gather as much imagery from them as possible for later fantasizing, masturbates in car, shows erection to women at parties, likes brutal rape styles of pornography, lies and cheats, and has had three affairs. He agrees with his wife’s side of the story that he is out of control with his sexual addiction. Masturbates to take his mind off of his problems. He admits to having been aroused by his daughter. Another twist: He’s tortured and abused pets.
09:20 PM: Segment #5: This sex addict, Mark, ignores his daughter Vivian whenever absorbed in his obsession. Wife Jesse fears for Vivian, that Mark might molest her. Mark believes himself to be out of control and wants help. He wants his wife to take herself and Vivian away from him, as he’s become sexually aroused when he sits Vivian on his lap. Jesse at times, wants to leave but has yet to do so. Dr. Phil wondered why she’s stayed, because Mark shows all of the most egregious signs of sex addiction; exhibition, cheating, little satisfaction when he does get sex, et al.
