09:00 AM: I’m up.
09:10 AM: [Emmy] called to say that Kristine Sorensen is hosting KDKA TV’s Pittsburgh Today Live show today. That’s the first time she’s returned to the show since she began filling the spot at the anchor desk vacated by Patrice King Brown when she retired over a month ago. So, does that mean that KDKA hired a new anchor person for their news? If so, then Sorensen may indeed have returned to PTL indefinitely. I’ll have to check out the news there this evening to see what’s going on.
10:50 AM: Mom is en route to the ER at a nearby hospital. Extreme sadness and sense of helplessness make this step necessary. She did not sleep last night in spite of meds given. She wants to go for help. Her eye appointment will be cancelled for now. She’s very anxious about that left eye and the surgery on it to come. I’ve asked her nursing facility to hold her room until we advise otherwise. More as I learn it.
11:30 AM: Talked with sister Mary Ann to fill her in on this latest Mom development.
01:00 PM: Cooked an eye steak and green peppers, onions, and mushrooms for lunch.
02:00 PM: Everything is cleaned up from lunch. Now, I’m attempting to round up the containers for Mom’s Christmas tree ornaments. Why? Because sister Mary Ann is coming up later with her kids, and they want to take down the tree. But I have no idea where that stuff goes, as sister Jojo put those containers away somewhere when we decorated the tree last December.
03:25 PM: Watched today’s episode of The Young and the Restless on the DVR.
04:30 PM: Sister Mary Ann and her girls just arrived. They’re taking down Mom’s Christmas village in the kitchen removing the ornaments from the Christmas tree.
05:20 PM: Mom’s Christmas village is now put away and all decorations have been removed from the tree except the lights. I’ll get to them sometime this week.
05:30 PM: Leaving now to visit Mom at the hospital. Back later.
07:00 PM: Headed to the nursing home to pick up Mom’s clothes for her. I have to call them tomorrow about holding her room there for her until she gets out of the hospital.
08:15 PM: I’m back home.
11:00 PM: Watched tonight’s rerun episode of Hawaii Five-0 with [Emmy] on the phone.
11:10 PM: Bed time. More tomorrow. Good night.
Received Mail and Shipments
- 1 hospital bill for Mom (for last July).
- Credit card offer from Citi. No thanks.
- Post card from my health care provider, asking me to complete a health wellness survey they recently sent. I will if I get some time.
