Log
08:50 AM: I’m up.
10:20 AM: Just called the billing administrator at Mom’s nursing home to ask about holding Mom’s room while she’s in the hospital, for free or for a reduced rate. (Their full rate of $241 per day is unworkable really). Tina said that they’ve never done that before but did not say no. In fact, she referred me to the home’s highest level administrator. So I left a message on that person’s voice mail explaining Mom’s situation, and hopefully she’ll get back to me today. Although I’m no optimistic that they’re going to waive the fees, hey, at least we asked.
12:00 PM: Watched and took notes from yesterday’s Dr. Phil episode Mommy Rescue 911. Details here.
01:30 PM: Leaving now to pick up Mom’s belongings from the nursing home. She’ll not be returning there in the near future.
05:00 PM: I’m back home and we’ve unloaded all of Mom’s things here at the house. I’m washing all the laundry, clean or dirty, and should have a clean batch to take up to her later this week when we visit.
07:10 PM: Watched today’s episode of The Young and the Restless on the DVR.
08:00 PM: Listening to the Penguins hockey game with [Emmy], and am also washing clothes.
09:00 PM: Hooked up Mom’s HD TV here at home once again. Nice to see that it works, and was not damaged by moving it from the home today.
10:30 PM: The Penguins won the game, but I do not remember what the score was. Oh well, I was more focused on talking to [Emmy].
11:00 PM: Just hung up with [Emmy], and started the last load of laundry for tonight.
11:15 PM: I’m off to bed now. It’s been an exasperating day, and I did not have my nap, which probably heightened the tension of it all. So good night, and I hope to get back to typing in the notes I take from the Dr. Phil show tomorrow. Those seem quite popular since I started posting them. So hopefully, if there’s not another crisis with Mom tomorrow, I can get a full day’s work in on the blogs. Good night.
