11:00 AM: I’m up.

10:00 AM: Walked to Sheetz for a cup of decaffeinated coffee.  I have cut way back on my coffee consumption so far this year.  But with more studies coming out saying how good it is for you, and since I have a stack of these “free coffee” coupons to use up, I figured I’d indulge my coffee affinity a bit.

04:45 PM: Watched the 2011-06-02, 2011-06-03, and 2011-06-04 episodes of   NBC’s Nightly News   broadcast via the DVR.

07:25 PM: Leaving for walk 23 of 100 for 2011, up to the cemetery again.  Back later.

08:25 PM: I’m back home, and I’m definitely looking forward to getting this new batch of 2011 music onto my iPod.  The old stuff is really getting old!   Anyway though, I experienced another wonder evening walk; the sunny June weather so far is making up for all those clouds and that rain we weathered in April and May.

06:00 PM: Spent most of today developing another PERL script for Tommy’s Tunes, to fix WAV files.  Since beginning my Promo Only EA DFF music subscription, some of the M4A files in it the QuickTime player does not like when exporting them to WAV files, and it crashes during the conversion.  This leaves the resulting WAV file unplayable because the RIFF chunk size and DATA sub chunk size fields are not filled in with the correct values.  Thus, the PERL script I wrote identifies these WAV files, calculates the correct size values, and batched edits the affected files and applies the correct settings.  This is a real time saver, as before, I’d have to re-export the affected files directly to MP4; skipping the WAV file interim altogether.  Hopefully they’ll figure out eventually why QuickTime’s export process crashes and get it fixed.  In the meantime though, I have my script.

11:00 PM: Talked with   [Emmy].

12:00 AM: Added all 45 songs from Promo Only’s EA DFF music series to the music library; the 2011-05 week 1 edition.

12:10 AM: Reviewed the daily traffic stats from yesterday for my blogs.  The monthly keyword hit count dropped some, and now stands at 1233; down 6 from 1239 two days ago!  Stupendously awesome!   Next goal: 1500.

12:30 AM: Bed time.  More tomorrow.  Good night.
