06:15 AM: I’m up.
06:20 AM: Leaving now for walk 41 of 100 in 2011, to the south cemetery again. Back later.
07:20 AM: I’m back home. A light fog enveloped the trails this morning and completely obscured the sun and sky, with no winds to speak of, and temperatures hovering in the mid 70s.
09:25 AM: Performed my usual morning blog work (adding today’s routine posts to Tom’s Diary).
10:00 AM: [Emmy] called to test out the cordless phone that she accidentally moistened last night. It sounded normal again. She put it on top of her AC unit to dry out overnight, and dry out it has indeed done, with apparently no ill effects from its dousing experience. 
12:00 PM: Nap time. Back later
01:15 PM: I’m awake again.
02:00 PM: Watched the 2011-07-17 episode of NBC’s Meet The Press news show via the DVR.
03:15 PM: Moved an reorganized one grocery shelf unit in the basement. This required unloading all heavy cans, jars, bags of beans, Etc., moving the shelf, cleaning behind and underneath it, repositioning it at the new location a few feet away from the original location, and loading it up again.
05:30 PM: Watched today’s episode of The Young and the Restless via the DVR.
06:00 PM: Watched the 2011-07-31 episode of CBS’s Face The Nation news show via the DVR.
06:15 PM: Leaving now for walk 42 of 100 for 2011, again to the south cemetery. Back later.
07:25 PM: I’m back. Brisk walk it was, lined with light breezes of 75 degrees, and mostly cloudy.
09:35 PM: Cleared off a second shelf of groceries in the basement. This one has bent legs. So over the weekend, I plan on cutting off the bent parts (soft metal) with reciprocating saw (blade for metal). While I’ll ose the floor space underneath the shelf due to its shorter legs, the shelf will be much stronger (I did this same thing to the first one a while back). Then, I’ll position the shelf and reorganize it as part of my quest to finally and completely organize this house.
10:00 PM: Watched tonight’s episodes of NBC’s Nightly News via the DVR.
11:00 PM: Talked with [Emmy] via the cordless phone from the upstairs bedroom.
12:05 AM: Reviewed the daily traffic stats from yesterday for my blogs. The monthly keyword hit count increased some, and now stands at 1641; up from 1638 the last time I checked. The record high for this dimension remains at 1788. The next goal: 2000.
12:35 AM: Bed time. More tomorrow. Good night.
Received Mail and Shipments
- Electricity bill. $215.94 this time. It’s smokin’ hot from those high cooling costs in July.
- 10% off coupon from Dell, for the purchase of accessories for my new computer. Not at this time, thanks though.
