09:00 AM: I’m up.
11:30 AM: Facebooked for a bit. Friend count: 558. Fan count: 111. I also “UNfriended” a few people who repeatedly did not respond to my wishes to them for happy birthdays and other comments I posted in response to things they had said. My philosophy these days is to coax no one to befriend me. So I no longer hold myself accountable for changing anyone’s mind about me. If they treat me with low regard, it’s no longer my mission to discover why. There are just too many others who treat me well for me to waste much time and emotional energy on those who do not. Other UNfriendings will likely follow.
12:30 PM: Watched today’s episodes of NBC’s Meet The Press and CBS’s Face The Nation news shows via the DVR.
01:20 PM: Watched last night’s special CNN coverage of the downgrading of the US’ credit rating via the DVR.
01:45 PM: Heated up a can of clam chowder for lunch.
03:30 PM: Nap time. Back later.
06:00 PM: I’m awake again.
06:30 PM: Leaving now with sister Jojo to visit Mom. Back later.
08:30 PM: I’m back. Mom seemed pretty happy and energetic tonight. We had a nice visit in the 2nd floor alcove. She said she felt a bit sad over the weekend. But I guess that even in nursing homes, people have good days and bad days. So we’re hoping that she’s not becoming seriously depressed there. She had laser treatments this past Friday on her eye. No problems with that but she’ll have to wait a bit for her vision to completely clear.
09:00 PM: Watched tonight’s episodes of NBC’s Nightly News via the DVR. Also, I’ve removed all pending rerun episodes of Dr. Phil from the DVR.
11:00 PM: Talked with [Emmy] via the cordless phone from the first floor office.
12:05 AM: Reviewed the daily traffic stats from yesterday for my blogs. The monthly keyword hit count dropped, and now stands at 1587; down from 1602 the last time I checked. The record high for this dimension remains at 1788. The next goal: 2000.
12:35 AM: Bed time. More tomorrow. Good night.
