07:15 AM: We’re up. It’s another sunny morning with temps in the mid 60s.
09:30 AM: Posted the Tom’s Diary –> Braille Clothing Tags, Fixing Sharp Edges piece.
10:00 AM: Leaving now for shopping and to visit Mom. Back later.
12:00 PM: We hit Wal Mart and bought some fresh fruit and produce for the coming week. Dunkin’ Donuts was also on our way. So we couldn’t pass up our weekly coffees.
01:30 PM: We then treated ourselves to lunch at Olive Garden (salad and breadsticks, followed by a plate of chicken Parmesan and pasta with marinara sauce). Very tasty it was, and pretty cheap too. The three of us (sister Jojo, [Emmy] and myself) ate for under $35 total.
01:35 PM: While at lunch, a short-lived but violent thunderstorm passed by overhead. The thunder was so “rumbly” that it shook the lights and ornaments hanging from the ceilings there. Power fluctuations also occurred that took their computers down; delaying order processing for everyone for a time. Rough and dark weather it was indeed.
03:55 PM: We’re home. We finally found an air popcorn popper for [Emmy], some bag clips, and we picked up some spatulas, measuring spoons, and other kitchen tools to aid us in our never-ending quest to eat and live in more healthful ways.
04:00 PM: Nap time. Back later.
05:00 PM: We’re awake again.
06:00 PM: Watched the KDKA TV local news at 5:00 PM.
06:45 PM: Leaving now for walk 53 of 100 for 2011, to the south cemetery. Back later. [Emmy] again opted out of this walk as she’s still not feeling very well.
07:45 PM: I’m home. Didn’t see anyone I knew at the cemetery tonight. But my iPod kept me sufficiently entertained, thus destroying any monotony that might have otherwise cropped up during an hour-long walk.
09:30 PM: Watched today’s episode of The Young and the Restless via the DVR.
10:00 PM: Watched tonight’s episode of NBC’s Nightly News via the DVR.
11:55 PM: Facebooked at various times throughout today. Friend count: 562. Fan count: 111.
12:05 AM: Reviewed the daily traffic stats from yesterday for my blogs. The monthly keyword hit count dropped significantly, and currently stands at 1473; down from 1527 the last time I checked. The record high for this dimension remains at 1788. The next goal: 2000. August is typically a slow month as few school classes are in session at this time of the year. Hoping this number goes back up as students return to school in the next couple weeks.
