Today’s Diet: 2011-09-19

I keep this food and fitness diary to stay aware of just how many calories I’m eating daily, my weight, and blood pressure with the hope that seeing these numbers repeatedly and often decreases the likelihood that I’ll overeat.    It seems to work, so here we go with another day…

Weight Log

Today’s weight: 179.0 pounds.  That’s down a pound from yesterday.  The 2011 year low weight so far: 177.5 pounds. The high weight is 185.5 pounds (established on 2011-04-13).

Food Log

Today, I consumed the following items:

  • Herbal tea throughout the day. 0 calories.
  • 09:00 AM: 1 tablespoon of Metamucil in water.  60 calories.
  • 12:10 PM: 5 small candy bars.  400 calories.
  • 12:20 PM: 2 chicken burritos.  1000 calories.
  • 12:25 PM: 1 soft chicken taco.  300 calories.
  • 06:00 PM: 1 multivitamin.  0 calories.
  • 09:00 PM: 1 tablespoon of Metamucil in water.  60 calories.
  • 09:15 PM: 2 cups of oatmeal with Parmesan cheese.  700 calories.

Total calories: 2520

Blood Pressure Log

  • 08:02 AM: Morning blood pressure: 117 / 82.
  • 08:03 PM: Night blood pressure: 118 / 87.
